I've often wondered about that… Aren't Woolies in cohoots with any of the grog chains up here? I sometimes see the liquor deals mentioned in Qld catalogues, but I've never chased it up.
Woolworth owns both BWS and Dan Murphies, they just don't do the same deals with them.

What's the point of marketing move. Encourage drinking and driving, and probably save?
If you're worried about drink driving being encouraged through fuel discount vouchers on alcohol, you'd really be worried by some European countries where you can buy beer, wine and spirits at petrol stations.
a while back when i was living in Adelaide, there was a petrol station near the airport that sold grog…

I bought a 20ltr one from Kmart the other day for $26 so you could buy one and if you fill it your saving $6 so a 20lt

30c times a reasonable max of a 60L purchase = $18 discount. Cheapest case shown is $37 x 2 = $74, giving a top discount of ~25% off your liquor (with one full tank refill at regular price).
Not bad if you specifically wanted those cases, but this deal posted just 5 hours ago from BWS seems a lot more flexible.
