Cheaper than most online stores because it has free shipping, target have it for $14.00 + $9.00 delivery. Never used these newer Nerf guns myself but I have read they shoot quiet powerful and accurate up to 15m.

  Wouldn't the Nerf Vigilon be better as it has a clip based system ie 5 shots before a reload vs 1 shot then reload (of the Proton)?

    Probably, really just depends which gun you prefer, I'm still waiting for the praxis to go cheaper. I'm just posting deals for the people :)

    clips? it's just 5 discs stacked on top of each other that you shove into the drop-down chute. the praxis and nitron use "clips" ;)

    personally, i find the Proton's 1-shot reloading is quite slick, compared to the reloading for those 1-shot dart guns. you just pull it out, pop the disc in, hit the switch on either side and the tray slides back in ready to fire.

  This is the Maverick of the Vortex line, cheap and fun but it's no Praxis (which is a may more practical gun). Also, these discs HURT compared to darts.
