80W RMS Maestro Tempo Speakers @ only $95 Cheapest in Australia

100

The Maestro Tempo is a well constructed and reasonably powered 2.0 Speaker system. When we put it to the test it held up nicely and most importantly stayed distortion free even at full volume with full bass. The item description has a video that shows this.
We are now currently selling these speakers at $95 with free delivery nationwide.

Thank you

  • $95 for speakers with power and size. No gurantees it will be good. But excellent value for what it is.

M-Audio AV-40's for $200 would be the next step up from this I imagine.

    • behringer have something in the $200 range too

    • +1

the m-audios are 160 delivered from amazon

We are under obligation to provide accurate description for the product. Many comments have been made for the construction and rated power of the speakers. 80W RMS is perhaps not earthquake, but still good enough for a standard sized room.

    Overpriced piece of crap.

    • agree, keep it in ebay!

      Try this:

Next time try a little bit research…

Next time try a little bit research…

Hmm, you might want to try the same thing before you go suggesting searches that result in better prices than you're offering. I can get them shipped to my postcode from DCA by Fastway Couriers for $109.49; whereas your shipped price is $112!

End result: Not "the cheapest in Australia", and therefore most certainly not a bargain! :p

        • +4

$95 is still the cheapest in Australia, as we also had option of pickup, in which case there was no more to pay. Secondly, our postage rate was flat, even for customers at country areas (we deliver quite a few items every week to remote areas). However, since this was a promotional item to begin with, we have decided to do free postage from here on end.

So $95 is all you pay, no hidden fees or surcharges, no postage cost, nothing other than the cost of the speakers @ $95.

          All the best.

Touché sir, well played. Neg revoked! :)

If you purchase these http://www.dcacomputers.com.au/maestro-tempo-2-0-wooden-ster… with shipping of $17.58 = $113.58 vs your price of $112. For the extra $1.58 you get Australian Air Express shipping est 1-5 days. If you purchase of this guy on ebay you receive it between Jan 31 and Feb7th. Sounds like the extra 1.58 for faster postage is a better deal in my opinion.

    • +4

Would pay $1 more express post.

    • I've revoked my neg because you realised your deal wasn't so good and your changed it to free postage which now makes it a better deal. Cheers for being competitive.

      • thanks for your support.

They prob have a much flatter sound than any sub $100 logitechs, but I doubt they are in the same league as m-Audio.

  • +2

to be honest these look to be better constructed than the M-Audio ones and i wonder how they do it for the money…

  • I had the M-Audio AV30's. They're around the same price as these and they're great at low volumes (wayyyy better than the Logitech X-230). Very clear but terrible for bassy tracks. It just needs a bigger cone.

I found it difficult to understand that those are powered speakers, you should put it in the title and fix the price to $95 too!

The value we get with these speakers is just unbelievable for the price, the cabinets, the speakers and all accessories seem much more we could get locally.
I just wonder how much they cost off the manufacturer, I guess around $50??

Anyhow, please avoid copying specifications and meanings from hi-fi and much more expensive and reputable components such as:
"Ideal for all music lovers and audiophiles" really audiophile at this price??
"Crystal clear dynamic highs, balanced mid range and deep bass" here you loose many marks.
"Reference monitor quality, driven by high quality drivers" and here you lost all left marks! Reference monitor, do you have an idea what is it? High quality drivers, what brand/model? Who is going to believe you?

As I said the price is just unbelievable for what we get but avoid using hi-fi "reference" meanings as this is not the case.
And the price $95 should go in the title otherwise this isn't a bargain at all!

Hi, thank you for the very detailed reply, you have raised some good points.
Let me try and go over them one at a time:

"you should put it in the title and fix the price to $95 too" - Not entirely sure how you mean that, the price is a 'Buy it now' $95 fixed already, not very clear on this. Some clarification will be appreciated.

"please avoid copying specifications and meanings from hi-fi" - Most of those things comes in from what is written on the box. I know I relayed it again, but someone looking at the box would be reading those anyway. Manufacturer's tend to use fancy words on the box, but truth emerges once the item is put to test, I'm sure we agree to that. I can say a thing or two about the quality of the sound as I was there when it was tested and at the time of the video.

" High quality drivers, what brand/model? Who is going to believe you?" - This threw me off a bit, as its the startling fact staring at me. Who will believe me? Well, I suppose no one will, I am a common reseller and such is my plight. All I can do is bring forth some evidence and you judge for yourself.

One of the other Maestro speaker we have been selling for a while with many happy customers and I use one myself daily:

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Maestro-Volante-40W-RMS-2-1-Compu…

And now I draw your attention to the following:
      http://microlab.cn/product_detail.asp?id=368&bigclassid=15&s…

Many similarities you may say, but the over all product is different.

Now lets see the following product:
      http://www.microlab.cn/product_detail.asp?id=277&bigclassid=…

Very similar specs if not identical.

Now I draw your attention to the following:

      Solo5C rear panel.

      Maestro Tempo's Driver

      http://salesberg.com/ebayImage/2012/Jan/tempo/Maestro_tempo_…
      Maestro Tempo's Tweeter

However again, the two products are different in the way that Tempo does not have a remote, and Tempo has Volume control at the side, and there is analog Treble and Bass adjustments at the back. Apart from that I'm sure many other construction similarities are visible.

Further more, we stock Microlab products too, and they are distributed by the same distributor.
It is possible its an OEM (but I am NOT saying it is, I'll be inquiring on Monday), for example you buy an Addidas watch you are in effect buying a Fossil watch. Such is not uncommon manufacturing practice at all, but I need to get the official statement from the distributor to say for sure.

Now ofcourse the next question may be, is Microlab any good then? Lets leave that topic alone for now, a google search will find us much comments on that matter.

Well, hope these info was of use.
      Thanks again for your time.
      Kind Regards.

I think you are doing a good job as a rep. Seriously. +1 for responding to negative feedback and adjusting your price to make the deal more competitive (unlike most reps who just stick their head in the sand once they realise their so-called 'deal' is bullshit)!

        • +3

I thank you for the good words. As a rep I need to listen to people. And sales have begun to trickle in and its only the weekend.
          All the best.
