  I would have bought this when I was looking for this lens about a year ago. Taking away the GST, this price is quite similar to grey imports. +1 from me.

  Australian stock vs parallel import is a pointless argument when it comes to lenses, as most manufacturers cover the warranty of their lenses, no matter where it was bought.

  I bought this for a similar price from DWI a year ago, this price for Australian stock is a bargain, especially given the floods in Thailand and earthquake in Japan have driven the price of almost all Nikon products up recently.

  great price for a great lens…also good people to deal with.
  just got back from holidays to find a xmass card from them…hand written with my name on it.
  cant as for any better…my d800(if it ever happens) will be got from them

  I got a 24-70 from JB in December for 1800, no haggling too. Doesn't seem like a deal to me.

    I actually got jb to beat their price for the 14-24 as well, I'm surprised how easy it is to deal with them. Making the payment tomorrow :)
