Was in Costco Moorabbin and saw a banner for a free cooler bag (with bottle opener) and carry bag or large tumbler when you auto renew your existing membership online. You need to set up a Costco online account. Set to renew on the account. Show to CS in store and choose your freebie.

Worked out perfectly as I just picked up a box of Magnums and large pack of Krispy crinkle cut potato chips.

Looks like it's nationwide. Some stores may only offer 1 or the other depending stock

  The staff told me to get the freebie you just show them your phone so they can see that you have enabled auto renew. They don’t do anything, so not sure what is stopping anyone from getting a freebie every time they shop?

    They take your card details and register the deal. Well do some paperwork at Moorabbin. Let's not abuse the freebie
