Great laptop but god damn, not putting a webcam in a laptop during covid times is stupidity beyond stupidity. Only reason I won't pick up a zephyrus and ended up going with a macbook instead (will just stream games from my gaming desktop if needed).

While I agree with the point of your comment, if you dont(or do) believe in God could you please refrain from using His name for things like this. I'm not trying to get into a religious debate or convert anyone. Just for those of us that believe its offensive to see this kind of thing.

      • if this offends you, the internet is not a place for you.

reckon even jeebus would agree with me on that

        • -1

          Typical and expected comment.

Why not just say sure I'll try to keep that in mind for the future?
Why not try at least to respect what others believe rather than use what they believe in for emphasis in your comments. Would your comment really have meant less if you'd just said 'but damn' instead of 'but god damn'?

          • -1

@infra: Because the internet doesn't care about your religious beliefs and this is not a place to complain about people using the word 'god' in a pejorative sense. Your beliefs make no difference to me and neither should some internet strangers use of words pertaining to your magical sky creature.

Don't tell others what to do or believe and your life will be a lot easier.

But that's asking a lot from a self-aggrandizing religious type, but god damn it must suck when people refer to god as a magical sky creature…

            • -1

@blergmonkeys: The internet as you refer to it is not a person so you are correct it cares naught about anything.

I asked you to keep other people's beliefs in mind. I specifically said I'm not trying to have a religious debate or convert you. However you continue to react in a way that shows no care for others but rather just say basically 'no it's too bad for you'. Thanks for being such a kind considerate person.

If you don't believe in God that's one thing but why do you have to go out of your way to offend those that do? Is it perhaps because your not so sure your right and try to make others follow your path to destruction also?

As far as magical creatures in the sky goes I'd rather believe in God that created things than a magical big bang that blew up matter that came from… Where? Oh wait the Theory of evolution never explained that.

              • @infra: I apologise for the last couple of paragraphs for wording it in an attacking way. I shouldn't try to prove a point by acting in the same manner. My apologies. My point about being considerate about others religious beliefs still stands however.

                @infra: all I can say is… yikes

someone didn't pay attention in science class

                • -1

@blergmonkeys: If you won't admit that your comment was inconsiderate for those that believe in God well that's on you. Ive tried to ask and show in a polite way what you are doing causes offence to others. If you don't care and would rather make fun of those who believe different then you then there's no point discussing further your science and evolution beliefs.

                  • -1

@infra: No one cares about your beliefs and it is not my role to mind them.

What if I said your belief in your imaginary omnipotent being offends me as an atheist? Why do your feelings matter more than mine?

Get out of here with your holier than thou bs.

Again, no one cares. Go pray to the sky for some change. Let’s see what all that wasted mental energy will get you.

                    • -1

@blergmonkeys: It's sad that your reaction to a polite question to be considerate of others is one of hostility and anger.

I'm not the one who used the name many people believe is meant to be respected in my comment about a laptop. If I posted in my comment that you should love God and hold his name in high respect then I'd be enforcing my belief on you which I did not do.

I do pray to God that you will find peace in Him and when it's time to meet your maker do not get an unexpected surprise.

If you believe in nothing and that nothing created you and you exist because of an accidental explosion from a substance that was somehow there in the beginning then what is your reason to live? What is your purpose?

Anyway I'm happy to discuss this further with you if your interested in learning more about God off this forum. Let me know if your interested. I do wish you all the best and do hope you can find it in yourself to respect others and their beliefs.

  • Yeah. These covid times hey.

would this be a better option:

  • The mobile RTX 3060's are pretty close if not on par with the mobile 2070s, you can pick up the MSI 3060 laptop for 1500-1799 depending on deals. The difference from the 2070 to the 2070 super in mobile variant isn't all that much, not worth the extra $800-1100 imo. Could buy a 2070 desktop rig and the msi 3060 on a cyber tuesday deal for the same price as this. My 2c anyway D:

    • Then it wouldn't be a thin and light gaming laptop :)

      • the MSI 3060 laptop is thinner and lighter than this one?

        • I'll check it out

          • @Seaeagle2323: MSI GF65 Thin Core i5 RTX 3060 - you can pick them up 1799 or wait for cyber tuesday deal to come around again and take 20% off of it, which brought it down to ~1540 a few weeks ago.

edit: i5 is 1799 rrp, i7 is 1899-1999 at most places atm
