You can also waste their time by saying you still have dialup internet, and it needs to connect. Go to youtube and find the dial up sound and play that, end it early once and say "Sorry, it takes a few goes"

          • @SuperC: And then you realise it was actually an official Telstra call. The employee was just on their first day :)

      • I used to lead them on for about 20 minutes before telling them i have a mac.

  • 1000 for me too

  • 500 points. Essentially less than worthless especially since we have to pay for delivery now.

Can't wait to get off Telstra in a month's time.

    • +1

since we have to pay for delivery now.

Wow, didn't realise that. Maybe if they had a decent ordering system, they wouldn't waste so much on their premium delivery fees?

Startrack made a fortune with their mispriced speakers last round.

  • +1

100 points worth $0.25 towards the price of some overpriced Telstra store e-waste. That's some serious purple level marketing kungfu… not.

    • +1

The points build up. I’ve ordered at least $600 worth of stuff with points by now. I know they aren’t “free”, but I’m willing to pay the Telstra tax anyway so it’s no extra charge.

  • 500, pretty useless 😂

😮 So many Telstra customers… What deal did I miss?!

On second thoughts, probably good I missed it and not be a Telstra customer 😉

    • +2

been plenty of JB gift card deals and while I hate telstra with a passion they still have the best network in Aus. The amusing part is I work at two different organisations at the moment, 1 only Telstra network gets reception, the other only Optus gets reception. never ceases to amaze me how bad the mobile network in Canberra is.

  • +5

Isn't this more like a competition for existing Telstra customers rather than a "deal" ?

  • I am a Boost customer. Do I stand a chance? :)

    • Don't think so :(

  • I got 100 points!

Which will compliment my existing 426,477 points that I still don't know what to spend on.

    • -4

can you donate them? if so can i have them please?

    • I'll give you a hind Bud . As the general rule points depreciate so you should use your 1K ASAP .

      • I didn't know points depreciated? :(

    • Nest minis :)

      • Yep, was buying the twin bundle pack each time and flogging on ebay for between 40 and 50 each. They seem to charge to post them now though making it all just not worth the effort.

        • $40 each pack or each Nest mini?

          • @RichardF89: Each mini, 2 pack returned 80 to 100.

            • @MorriJ: I put on gumtree for $30 each. I feel lost a million

              • @RichardF89: Works roughly the same. $47.50 sale on ebay with free shipping is $30 cash in hand really.

Lose $9.15 retail aus post and 10% commission on entire sale including postage etc, then paypal cut of fee (or ebay if managed payments)

  • 500 points

    • +1

Hop on the $5 Kayo deal before you jump off your contract if that interests you. Its fantastic value if youre a sports fan

      • -2

I really don't want to give any money to Fox and Rupert Murdoch so I'm going back to streaming it from somewhere else.

  • -2
