  • got one ~2 months ago for around $8.
Used it on 2600, whose previous paste dried up after two years…
no complain on this one so far.

  • Just bought a be quiet cooler to replace my stock. It comes with pre applied but is it worth buying this and taking off the pre applied?

    • +1

No, there will be hardly any temp difference between the two

  • Anyone know the effective thermal range? I can't seem to find that information anywhere.

Looking to use this on a temp probe on a boiler.

  • Hi, I have built one in more than 7 years so I wanna ask, what's the best applying method? Just a blob in the centre of the CPU or spreading it evenly (I am too nervous to spreading it)

    Thx

    • +1

Over the past I've always applied the paste evenly over the CPU however on last occasion this year I tried a pea sized blob. It worked really well and is a popular method

      • +2

I tried a pea sized blob

I use my brain as a size reference.

      • Blob it is! Thanks

  • Do i need this for a 3700x? Also thinking of getting cooler master hyper 212. Is thermal paste overkill then?

    • my 3700x runs hot as hell. Im looking to cool my down a bit also. It idles at 50c with a Be quiet cooler.

      • Do you overclock? Are you going to use this thermal paste to cool this down?
