Posted as it is a Legend of Zelda game and this is a great price for a pre-order (given it is a Nintendo game) .
I do not think much has to be said about this game here is the spiel from the website anyway:

  • Take to the skies, draw your sword, and experience the earliest story in the Legend of Zelda series.
  • Join Link in his high-flying quest to save Zelda, a childhood friend who must confront her destiny.
  • Soar between floating islands and descend to the treacherous surface world in this updated HD version of the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
  • Swing your sword and angle your slashes to uncover and break through opponents’ defenses using intuitive motion controls.
  • Link will match the angle of each strike you make with the Joy-Con controller, creating immersive swordplay that relies on strategy and accuracy.
  • Movements feel smoother and more immediate thanks to the Nintendo Switch system’s increased processing power and HD graphics.
  • Take advantage of the newly-added button only control scheme—perfect for playing in handheld mode or on the Nintendo Switch Lite system.

Available from 16 July 2021!

Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure I bought this game on release on the Wii for less than this lol

    • Well, it is Nintendo and it is in HD so that is why the price is still as it is. We have to apply different standards for Nintendo games and in particular for Mario and Zelda games unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure I bought this game with a gold wiimote for around this price on release on the Wii

      • +2

And this gold wiimote can fetch a very good price on ebay now.

I still have it, so that's good to know :)

      • Did you get the gold nunchuck to match ?

        • I did and have it at home mint in box :)

$52 in the comments. Man Nintendo are onto a good rort here.

      • Taking inflation into account and the price is about the same in real terms……

Yeah, for the same game with a very mild upscale and regular controls. Every other game from 10 years ago is $5 on Steam

      ????

      • LOL. Sorry Lysander. Those breakfast beers are just not working for me 🤣

  • Thanks OP, good deal till something cheaper comes along. Just adding to my collection of Zelda games plus will will go well with the limited edition zelda joycon.

  • Worth ordering now?

    • +4

No point in preordering. Just wait till release and see if it’s a good port or not. Also waiting till release helps clear your mind of hype.

    • Amazon will charge you the lowest price if they reduce it after you order, and they almost always price match the lowest mainstream competitor. They’re a safe bet.

You just might not get any preorder bonuses EB and the like sometimes throw in.

If you absolutely need it day 1 then Big W or similar may be a better bet. I’ve found with Covid some of Amazon’s launch day purchases have slipped by a few days. They used to be great at having orders to me on launch day. Nowadays not so much.

Just trade in 2 really cheap games at EB Games and pay $29 on top.

I've done a few times with some cheap games that only cost like like $10 or less each from the used market.

So overall the game only cost me like $49

  • Nintendo can Put a banana with a Donkey Kong Sticker and sell it for $80 and still will sell extremely well.

    It's Nintendo after all.

  • Will be very interested to see how this game goes and what sort of improvement they have made to it.

    • Same, judging from the trailer it just looks like a slight upscale and doesn't really look like a proper HD remaster.

Here's hoping it's worth the money. I loved this on the Wii but I'll wait for reviews here.
