I found the quality to be exceptional: paper, binding, etc. Since they have zero original artwork, it seems they can practically sell it at cost.
Edit 1: I picked up my purchase of this box set today, and immediately returned them. I mistook these ones for the larger books. These are those smaller ones that you can typically find for $2 at Kmart and sometimes at Aldi.
