  • Just wondering can I use this kind of USB-C hub for Andriod tablet as USB OTG? Like USB-C sound, USB midi adapter?

Is there a need these days for VGA? Genuinely curious on the use cases.

    • Not really apart from people using older monitors as their second or third monitors

      • Only if you’ve got a genuine reason to use a CRT such as a light gun arcade game

You can't use light guns with VGA. Arcade, or otherwise.

          • @[Deactivated]: Wouldn't a CRT work? I don't believe you need a composite cable.. it's the cathode ray that makes them work

My home monitors for my work PC (WFH 3 days a week) are still connected via VGA. Gaming PC is HDMI, screens in the office are DP, but still persisting with VGA (via DP adapter) at home. I'm not going to chop out for new monitors while these are fine, I genuinely barely notice the difference for work stuff. Obviously prefer better but I make do.

Legacy devices like old monitors, projector. For the most part, no.

Still plenty of conference rooms out here with VGA cables for their projectors.
