  • besides the number of keys does this compare to the k6 or annepro2?

    • +1

I own both Rk61 (otemu blue) and Annepro 2 (gateron blue), typing experience is definitely better on Anne Pro 2 but not by much.

  • i have the rk71 and k2v2..

In terms of out of the box typing experience.. keychron seems to be better.

But if you do simple mods such as stabs and foaming.. I feel the rk71 is a better keyboard.

I always wonder how some of these brands get the names
"A kludge or kluge (/klʌdʒ, kluːdʒ/) is a workaround or quick-and-dirty solution that is clumsy, inelegant, inefficient, difficult to extend and hard to maintain. This term is used in diverse fields such as computer science, aerospace engineering, Internet slang, evolutionary neuroscience, and government. It is similar in meaning to the naval term jury rig"

    • sounds like clutch

    • I have a suspicious feeling that it was a translation gone awry, since that tends to happen with a lot of foreign names. The original intended name probably meant something slightly different with a different nuance.

    • Maybe from this…

kluge: /klooj/ [from the German 'klug', clever; poss. related to Polish & Russian 'klucz' (a key, a hint, a main point)]

      Wikipedia

    • The logo is removable with nail polish remover and a cotton bud, but clouds the plastic a bit.

  • Great compact keyboard.. Love mine.

  • Don't forget 8% cashback.

  • Who makes the switches? Cherry/Kailh etc.?

    • kailh switches

  • i got the motospeed one, because it provide wireless dongle as well, its pretty good!

  • Battery? Wifi?

    • Internal Battery. BT or USB switchable.

Note that you get charged $1.06USD for shipping insurance, so the price works out to be $45.05USD instead of the title price.

    • +1

      you can untick shipping insurance

  • Can you change the keys on these?

    • yep they are hot swappable

      • +1

        keycaps: yes
hotswappable (normally reserved keyword for the switches): no

        • +1

oh yes my bad, thnx for clarifying

  • Got an rk71. Can't complain apart from the fact I bought a single colour (blue/white) instead of full RGB. Frankly not that fussed by RGB. The lights on the sides are a bit weird but can be tuned.
Still mourn the loss of the numpad a little bit but more and more I'm liking the cleanliness and lack of clutter. Don't think I could eve get used to not having arrow keys or a delete key.

Much better than my last 5 or so keyboards even with the cheapo switches.

    I got brown.

Edit.: are coupons on Bangood just a scam? I want the $20 new user one but its giving me $5 instead…

I think its like $20 total worth of vouchers, but it might come in multiples of smaller amounts. There are also restrictions on which coupon can be applied in which category
