Digital Cinema have this Pioneer MRX-3 speaker for $99. They claim it's down from $599, and some places are selling it for around that price (https://www.amazon.com.au/Pioneer-Wireless-Multi-Room-Speake…) but a fairer price comparison is $149 at Kogan.
I don't have one, so don't know what it's like, but the last deal for $199 seemed reasonably popular (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/559192). This is half that price and 2/3 of Kogan price!
From Pioneer webpage:
Wireless streaming speaker with dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, Chromecast built-in, Spotify Connect, Deezer, Tidal, TuneIn Internet radio and FireConnect™ multi-room.
High-quality, multi-standard, multi-room speaker with large media diversity and flexible expansion options.
When setting up a streaming system – whether for one room or a whole house – you can have great sound as well as versatility: the compact MRX-3 with its two 77mm bass-midrange speakers and the full-fledged 28mm tweeter easily fills the room with music. There is no need to be concerned whether your favourites come from a streaming service like Spotify or Tidal, are stored on a local server or on your mobile phone or tablet – regardless of the origins, format and storage location, your sound always finds the best way to the MRX-3 that supports all relevant streaming standards with Chromecast built-in, and PlayFi. In short: The MRX-3 adapts to the preferences of its user instead of forcing the application of certain methods or standards. Thanks to FireConnect™, the MRX-3 can even access sources located in other rooms – such as a record player or sound from a television – if these are connected to a FireConnect™-compatible device. Pioneer has a large selection of these in its product range and other brands will be offering FireConnect™ in the near future if they are not already doing so. One or more MRX-3 units as well as other Pioneer streaming products of the latest generation are controlled via the Pioneer Remote App for iOS and Android. Buttons are located directly on the device for frequently used functions such as volume, skip or pause.
Seems decent for the money
