      tempted to pull the trigger, but should I concern that they are non-MFI?
      My non MFI cable did not last long..

        Non-MFI isn't be all, end all. It just means they don't want to shell out for certification which is understandable coming from a brand based in China. I bought these cables about 3 months ago and they seem to be fine still. I know that isn't long but it's better than some cables I've used.

          apple devices are picky about which cables and chargers they will accept charge from, even if they will otherwise work fine. Possibly to kill the cheap cable market and force people to buy MFI. They might work and then in the next iOS update, no longer work. That's what happened to some of my cables a few years ago. Very annoying, so I only use the original cables now.

        I bought several Baseus cables including a Baseus Apple USB cable and Baseus 3 in 1 USB cable for my workplace over 2 years ago.
        I work in residential health care so the charger is used 24/7/365, they are used many times each day/night and they're all still working.

    The Baseus cable is not that great.
    Had one and it connects loose after less than 6 months. Have to push it real hard for any chance of charging anything close to 1A.
    Often have to pull off and reattach several times to get it up to a decent charging current. (Same charger using my HTC original cable gets me full charging every time and this cable is 2 years older and has been run over by my chair multiple times).

      I have this ^ with a particular C charge phone, but not with our other devices - Samsung laptop and other smartphone. It's as if the terminals on one or the other aren't quite long enough. The phone causing issues initially lights up and charging. When I check an hour later it's added only a few percent of charge. Switch to the lead which came with phone and problem solved.

    I hit the same bug as OP but pay it now option works to charge cheaper shipping option. Once the order is complete, it shows a higher price on alixpress site than the amount which was actually charged to card.
