Make sure you choose Ships from: China.
I ordered these yesterday, two pack for $3.98 with free prime delivery. Might be a good alternative if you're not keen to wait.
They're Micro USB and this is a deal on USB-C.
Haha I actually ordered thinking they were USB-C, cheers for that man, I'll cancel my order. :P
Lol @ someone else checking your order
$0.97 0.25m 5A USB Type C Cable here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001022582515.html?
Ahhh yes but the 1m (which this deal is on) is much more expensive. That's a good option if you have a device support 5A charging, e.g. Huawei phone supporting SuperCharge.
Wait a minute. That's not how Jv replies. Oh now I'm clear.
Got some, thanks
I am getting charged shipping fees… Is the deal expired already?
Are you trying to order more than 3? 4 or more seems to change it from Cainiao Super Economy Global to AliExpress Standard Shipping that costs.
No. Just 2.
It should let you choose the shipping method under the price on the product page or the cart. Does it show Cainiao?
@Clear: Thanks. It does.
Does AliExpress accept PayPal?
@RSmith: Yep
@Clear: It shows Cainiao on the product page but resets to AliExpress Standard Shipping in the cart. It doesn't allow to choose inexpensive shipping in the cart for this product.
@beesider: Yeah, you actually have to sign in and get to the buying page. Just before paying it will show up as free shipping - no need to change anything - that's how it worked for me.
Good to charge Nintendo Switch?
Can this charge a laptop if it has a USB-C?
No you'll want a USB-PD charger with a USB-C to USB-C cable, like in this deal.
thanks but I don't have a power adapter than can plug in a USB-C
Why can't a Power adapter with combined with USB to USB-C adapter work??
USB Power Delivery is the specification used to deliver power to laptops with USB-C charging and that requires both ends of the cable to be USB-C. USB-A to C is not supported and won't deliver enough power.
@Clear: oh damn, no wonder why my USB - USB-C cable didn't work. I thought I bought the wrong cable.
Can you recommend me a power adapter please? thanks
@Homr: Your laptop needs to support charging via USB C as well, not just have USB C ports
@polol: Yes my laptop does support USB-C charging https://www.dell.com/community/Vostro/Vostro-5490-USB-Type-c…
I'm planning to buy this
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000218848076.html?spm=a2g0o…
Is it good?
@polol: ok I'm kinda confused. The official dell USB -C charging looks like a brick
https://www.dell.com/en-au/work/shop/dell-usb-c-power-adapte…
So would a USB-C power adapter with USB-C cord still work??
@Homr: USB-C Power adaptor with USB-C to USB-C cable will work as long as both supports USB-PD 100W.
100W USB C cables are those: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/614036
100W USB C bricks are like those: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002037978734.html
I couldn't find PD support on your laptop so test it before you buy it. If your laptop only needs 65W, your power brick only needs to be 65W. If it's less than that, it might not charge or charge slowly.
@fhqhfhqh: Thanks, I came across this deal. Will this adapter work?
@Homr: That should be fine. But again it depends on what laptop takes as a charging and required power. Generally small business laptops are ok with 45W(your link) but some goes up to 65 or 90w (MBP 15 was 91W from memory).
@fhqhfhqh: thanks, I bought a 65w charger. Wish me luck
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001284453339.html?spm=a2g0s…
@fhqhfhqh: I have a 30W USB PD charger (from an old deal from a bunnings power board that had it (was $5), and while my laptop (HP Elitebook 840) does support USB charging it warns that "for better performance use a genuine adapter". TBH it doesn't worry me too much, but sometimes I note that my device isn't charging and it's on zero battery but plugged in, and it will hibernate. If I try to come out, it does a clean boot, which as you can imagine is a pain. Do you think the charger is faulty or do you think the power management is dodgy?
@Jackson: 2 possibilities there. 1) The message displayed because you didn't use the included charger; 2) the power provided by charger isn't enough to power the laptop properly.
Sounds bit like option 2 in your case Try with bigger capacity charger (i.e. 65W or 100W USB PD adaptor). You should be able to test using Apple MacBook charger if you have one lying around
@fhqhfhqh: I don't, but I do have another one of these boards that I could test with, might try that in the meantime. Might also have another cable
Thanks ordered the 2m for $2.64 AUD. Hopefully it shows up in a reasonable time lol
Good brand as been using one of their usb A to usb C 2m cables ( also bought cheaply from here ) for over three years with No hassles.
thanks, ordered some for S&G
