dodgy af website. Contact is a mobile number and there is no ssl secure connection.

    • +3

Looks like they have ABN (88 643 906 432) and website has SSL secure connection

      • +3

        Agreed.
They also list a local office address.

I fail to see how the website is "dodgy af"?

  • Which office works? Lol

    • +1

      No office works

OP is lucky to have OW price beat this website. It clearly mention on bestmobilephone website "1 Year Australian Warranty"
AFAIK, OW don't price match/beat 1 year warranty products.

  • +1

I wonder if ever we can have ozbargain bulk order from likes of officeworks or jbhifi at discounted rates

  • Is this the cheapest ever price?

    • +1

      Probably in 2 years time.

    • 3 Brothers Mobile has had it for $1817 a couple of times with 10% off coupon codes (though no price beat available on them).

  • can anyone confirm OW price matches this site?

    • +1

      See OP post…

It’s as easy as 1,2,3. You can obtain the PBG by visiting your local Officeworks store or by calling 1300 OFFICE (1300 633 423). You cannot obtain the PBG via our online store.

Call OW to confirm. Best place to do so.

I tried just now and got massively rejected. Apparently Officeworks need the model number, eg MGJC3X/A to be listed on the seller’s site and in this case it’s not.

So no new phone today for my sad wife.

  • Is this the cheapest ever price?

No. $300 off from the AFTERPAY deals would be the cheapest.

    • You wont get afterpay deals for prices above 2000$, which this is.

      • Yes, you are correct.
However, it worked for some people.

      • yes you can, there was a trick

      • Can confirm you can. I managed to and there's a trick to doing it

        • Can you dm me on how to do this? (if not willing to share here)

  • Isn't 1845 - 5% = 1752.75?

    • -2

they add 15$ delivery cost, which is calculated for price beat

      • Tried two persons, no luck

      • What’s your trick? No model number from bestmobilephone

      • How did you manage to price beat this at O/W when this is an overseas model?

I just tried over the phone, and failed miserably as the rep quickly pointed out to me that the model number A2412 is not sold in Australia.

Officeworks will not match/beat prices where the seller is unavailable to provide a SKU number. The SKU number confirms where it is AU stock.

This site has no SKU number.

  • But but but I was told iPhone 13 Super Pro Max 3D is coming out this year.

    • And you can bet iPhone 14 will come out in 2022.

      • And you can bet iPhone 15 will come out in 2023.

        • if you are not holding out for the iphone 20 super duper etreme pro version. then you will just be a peasant.

    • I bet that the camera will be better than the 12

  • Pretty good deal. After I salary sacrifice through my employer my after-tax cost will be less than $1k - not bad!

    • So you will salary sacrifice to buy a “phone”.
      Seems like an intelligent move.

      • +2

will go well with the high yield 80K car investment.

      • +1

If you are going to buy a phone then salary sacrifice is the best option because you purchase the phone out of your pre-tax income and do not pay GST on it.

So unless you are low income you get approx 40% off.

  • Guys, just be mindful that this is a grey import judging by the model number mentioned on the linked product page, and they also highlight dual (physical) SIM.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max A2412 is the edition sold in Hong Kong, Macao, and China mainland. This is the only version coming with physical dual nano-SIM card slots. The Chinese model still doesn’t have FaceTime Audio and Wi-Fi calling.

    SOURCE: https://www.techwalls.com/iphone-12-pro-max-model-a2342-a241…

The iPhone 12 Pro Max A2411 is considered the global version because it is sold in the majority countries all over the world. You can buy it in South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and Africa.

  • Yep, OP was definitely lucky with their OW price beat. Seem like for others, OW turned out to be "Ow!" and "Ouch!"

    • OP was definitely lucky with their OW price beat

      I call BS on that.

  • Thanks OP, I got an iPhone 12 Pro 128gb for $1490! $210 off RRP. Had no issues with Officeworks.

    • did you call them? Or in store?

      • Called them to ask if they had stock before I went, but didn't mention the price beat until I got to the counter.
