    25kg!? Is that a lead-acid battery?

Specs are missing important things, e.g. Freewheel or cassette?

    • major downside to ebikes: they are heavy. my 20" folding with 16ah battery weighs about the same. it's not just the battery that's heavy, the whole frame has to be made sturdier to take the extra weight.

  • Seem to be very popular bikes. Appropriate for lots of uses but once you try these, then try higher budget ones, it is hard to go back…

My essential advice is: don't even think about trying higher end electric bikes. Don't do it. or you'll spend much more than you anticipated…like me lol

  • what sort of a hill can these tackle?
i tried a line bike the other day, the hill was prob 20° and even with s run up, i didn't even get 10m. then stopped. trying to get a 30kg monster by yourself is fairly hard.

I have a Milano Plus and live in Brisbane. I've only had it a couple of months and haven't ridden extensively beyond the ride to and from work, but I've yet to encounter a hill the bike couldn't handle. This is coming from someone with pretty terrible fitness, too.

      • can i ask which suburb? if its Wynnum rd, or the gap, then that's excellent!

  • Anyone tried one of these Bafang mid motor kits from AliExpress?
