        No matter what debit card I use, it still says failed. Not sure what the heck is wrong with it.

    • Folks, looks like the card (no matter debit or credit) doesn't work on certain devices even though they are genuine Australian Samsung stock and passed all the tests. Mine is S8+ and passed all the tests and is in excellent condition but no matter how hard I try it says card validation failed. Did everything damn thing starting from clearing data/cache, force stopping, uninstalling-reinstalling, resetting the phone over 4 times. So, I came to a conclusion that it won't work no matter what.

      The same debit card worked on my partner's phone like a charm but not on mine even after all the efforts above. I don't understand what part of the app doesn't like my phone when I add card details.

  • Got a $200 voucher on chat after trying to connect 50 times probably (got through on an iphone).

    Am now getting "sorry due to an error trade in servie is unavailable at the moment" - so haven't pulled the trigger.

      • I have my trade in code. That's the error I get when trying to enter it on checkout

        • Sometimes the app gives the code without the credit card, that's why I asked.

    confirmed via Samsung support staff that they will charge discounted amount in full if not return trade-in phone, so, you're better off just grab a cheap 200 phone that is eligible with the trade-in (the 200 voucher covers it anyway), then you have at least 500 + 250 off rrp + potential 50 off aka 750-800 off per phone which is not bad at all, at least there is no muck around and enjoy your purchase :)

        when you run through the trade up app, it clearly sets out the 3 scenarios and shows how much you would be charged. All 3 scenarios was the same amount for me 80 AUD. so thats the contract with the trade up company and they took my credit card details. Samsung support staff would ofcourse not put his neck on the line.

  • Failed gyroscope test in the trade in app, despite gyro sensors working perfectly in all three axes in multi-sensor apps.

    Oh well, no S21 for me.

    • The gyro test is weird. I'd try it again and just tilt your phone all over the shop until the ball makes it into each corner.

    Just got told by a Samsung agent that from 30th March onwards the $200 voucher would no longer be stack-able with the Trade-In promotion. Get on it quick guys !

      • Yes - only stack-able till 12AM apparently (though not sure how certain that agent is on this)

        • The reason i am asking when i got 200$ voucher they said its vaild for 7 days. May be due to unexpected high volume order, they may stop it.

          I am waiting for grey color stock in s21. Looks like i may miss this one.

          • @Ozfanmel: The $200 voucher is definitely valid for 7 days (confirmed this). But they changed it so that you won't be able to stack it with the Trade-In promotion discount from 30th March

          The Exynos 2100 is a bloody good chip, though. Far far closer to the SD than previous models. I'm not at all disappointed.

            • @alanxu120: Heat isn't as issue. I play PubG on mine and it's cool as. There have been plenty of reports of heat issues with the SD888 models anyway.

                  Edit: Highest you can go on Ultra frame rate is HDR graphics. It says "coming soon" for UltraHD and UHD graphics.

      Mine should arrive today. I got the star track tracking number but it doesn't tell exactly when. The wait is killing me 🤣
      Especially since they tend sometimes to not bother ringing me and just leaving a note.

  • To those that ordered prior to the $200 voucher and then tried to cancel+reorder - have you been successful? I tried to cancel mine, was assured three separate times and told they had two "teams" monitoring it only to have just received the tracking code for the shipment (startrack FYI).

    Looks like my $200 voucher will expire by the time they receive the phone back and decouple my trade-in ID :/

      There are quite a few people offering $200 codes, so maybe try to get a new one from a kind soul.

      • I might need to, just depends how long Samsung take - I've heard shipping is 7 days so they all might be expired by then?

      I had the same issue after speaking to them and trying to cancel it. Maybe double check that your original order is actually going to be delivered to you? I got an email saying my order had been dispatched but never got any tracking information or anything from StarTrack. I then got another email saying my return process had been started so assuming it never actually left Samsung

      In the mean time, I re-ran the trade up app on my old phone, got a new code and placed a new order with the $200 voucher. New order has been confirmed but still waiting for dispatch

      Also emailed Asurion letting them know that my first order had been returned and they should cancel my original trade in code

      A lot of effort to get the additional $200 off but I couldn’t deal with missing out

        • How did you re-run the app? Reinstall or something else, mine won't change from the trade in number

        I've got the tracking info from startrack already so it's on the way but I want to put through another order before more things go wrong

          Just uninstalled the app and re-downloaded it. Had to go through all the steps again but it generated a new code
