This is basically the same thing as the Drop X Sennheiser PC 37X, just cosmetic differences.
The price drop is because EPOS and Sennheiser ended their partnership midway through 2020.
I have the PC37X. Excellent headset. I would have bought these had I known that they were the same. I believe the GAME ONE come with a 3.5 mm TRRS cable to use with console controllers.
I especially like the open back so I can hear my child over the baby monitor.
Any links for the partnership ending? I had a google and couldnt find anything.

But yeah, Sennheiser is rearranging their business model and are looking for outside investment, basically the EPOS/Sennheiser relationship is a lot more distant now instead of being fairly exclusive.

Yes: open backs tend to lose sub-bass and some low-bass but in return soundstage is larger and timbre is natural.
Think watching a band perform (open back) versus listening to a band perform from the studio booth (or all too often, from inside your head).
