Irwin 127-280mm Extension Multi Bit Screwdriver - $10 (Was $29.98) C&C Only @ Bunnings

200

The new Irwin Extending Multi-Bit Driver works like a standard screwdriver, but the shaft extends from 127mm up to 280mm for additional reach. The shaft locks into place at various lengths and when compressed at the 127mm size it is equivalent to a standard screwdriver.

Looks good but no ratchet and place to store bits

Imo spend a bit more and get Stanley Fatmax pistol ratchet screwdriver.

    Worth the extra money imo.

      • < $31 at totaltools and gettoolsdirect. No opinion on if it's worth it.

      • I got mine for $30 about a year ago. Didn't realise it went up in price.

      • It was cheap a year and a half ago.https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/474675

I picked up a straight and pistol grip, the pistol grip was a little bit more $19-22 at the time.

The pistol grip has a swivel mechanism, so you can use it as either straight handle, or pistol grip. I don't actually use the pistol configuration much as the handle is quite big and i can get enough torque while in straight configuration.

    • +1 for the Fatmax pistol.

Been using one for years, brilliant driver. Think I paid $30 for it so yes they have gone up.

Not extending but you can use it without the main shaft, giving a choice of about 270mm or 160mm length.. so it competes with the Irwin on that front, sort of.

  • Link please?

    • I suppose you were replying to parker, and here https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-fatmax-pistol-grip-ratch…

      • I feel like $37 is a fair bit for me to buy something I'd use on and off on a whim.

$10? Eh… also electric ones tend to work just as well with an extension bar.

      • Sorry I meant the Irwin Extension Multi Bit Screwdriver OP is referring to :)

        • Just click the image on the top right? Is this your first rodeo into OzB? Surely not with over 300 comments…

@ATangk: The link takes me and probably others to the homepage of bunnings, not a product. I'd guess it isn't available Australia wide.
