Art-Tech F6F Hellcat Electric RC Plane Was $350, Now $199+ Delivery - HobbyDomain.com.au

My first post here so here it goes!

I'm 31 and felt like returning back to my youth days! Just placed an order with this company last Friday. I've ordered the F6F Hellcat - Art-Tech's Warbirds series RTF (Ready to fly out of the box). Includes the transmitter, receiver, airframe, motors and i believe the USB patch cable so you can plug in the transmitter to a PC and practice on the supplied Simulator program before you fly the real thing.

Looks like they have quite a few Post-Christmas Specials on at the moment. Was also tempted to order the Spitfire (Was $325, Now $195+shipping) or the Corsair (Was $325, Now $195+shipping)

Can't wait to receive my order in the mail!

  • I caught the RC aircraft bug a few years back and that was my third plane. If you have no experience, it will be a difficult first plane to fly. Get plenty of hours up on the sim is my advice. Loads of fun though. It's a slick plane and very maneuverable.

    • Thanks nhand42. That's what I thought! The package is bundled with the Simulator hopefully. There are mods you can make to the plane for eg. Extra weight for the nose so that cross winds don't affect the flying too much. Sounds like fun IF I can get the time to play with this! lol

looks like a fun little plane, shop is too new for me

    • I've ordered two planes (1 for a colleague)using Paypal. From experience, if it is a dodgy seller and they do not end up sending what they have committed to, you will usually receive a full refund from Paypal upon their investigation. (I have done this X3 times so far when purchasing items from ebay).

      • While I get your point, I can do without the hassle of PayPal dispute (same reason I stopped using ebay).

  • Site closed when I tried to have a look.

  • recived mine. tried to get it airborne but it doesn't produce enough power?
and its making a whirling/winding noise at full throttle..??

    everyone else have more luck?
