  Bloody cheap.

  I have both devices. Just a word of warning, the AAA battery model burns through batteries at a great rate of knots. Additionally, you can't use 1.2V rechargeables, it doesn't provide enough voltage.

    you can get 1.5V AA rechargeables but they're either expensive, or they're chinese no-name brands.

    For anything that needs 1.5V, I just buy a 30 pack for Varta at Bunnings for under $10.

      Identical devices except for the rechargable battery. Both excellent and perform the same with fully charged batteries.

    are you sure about this? 1.5v non rechargeable a actually drop voltages as it looses charge linearly where as a 1.2 rechargeable maintains a constant voltage until it’s nearly discharged

      1.2V cells worked, but the drop in voltage resulted an exponential reduction in speed and torque.
