  • Was looking for a handy usb c hub, found one. Thanks

    • Almost every single cheapo USB-C hub I've found with both Power pass thru and 4K@60Hz has tend to have over heating problems. Any luck with this one?

  • +5

USB port detects and delivers 2.4A

Call all ports deliver 2.4A at the same time?

  • How long is its power cord?

  • Power strip. Wonder whats the joule rating on the surge protector and there doesn't seem to be any of the typical indicators re: grounding or when the surge protector has worn out or does it cut the power when the protection wears out. Also no word about connected equipment warranty?

    • From here:

      "It has a 15000A max and 1700J surge-suppression rating."

Equipment warranty, doesn't appear to be any.

      • Good catch thnaks, interesting. I wouldn't trust that unless they have a test certificate of compliance for like IEC 61643-1 / ANSI/IEEE C62.xx / UL 1449 etc. whatnot and can't seem to find any info on certs meh.

Maybe they use some contract manufacturer to white label but hasn't relayed the info on their marketing materials?

edit: would be nice if surge protectors get the jonnyguru treatments similar way to PSUs

For five dollars and a cent more Cyberpower is more known brand and rating seems pretty good and offers CEG as well…

However only two USB ports and no individual switches if that's one's thing.

  • Following any better compare to Aerocool one?
Only 35.00, I am after good powerboard with individually switched and have at least one usb charging port.

    • Only 525 joules surge protection and unknown no-name brand and no indicator, CEG :(

Do you really need it individually switched? It still sparks inside the outlet.

If you are okay with just a master switch check the link up on my comment to the Cyberpower 35$ 2k joule, 50k CEG (read smallprint keep records) and known good brand.
