I've been waiting for a good deal on this monitor for a while now.

As per Hardware Unboxed AOC had updated the panel they use with an inferior panel but in their latest video about it, its not all that bad.

      1080p at 27" isn't terrible but it may look a bit pixelated depending on how close you are to it.
      
      1440p is the more accepted resolution at 27“ but those monitors are a bit more pricey, don't think there are any that are under $400 (that are IPS, high refresh etc).
