Been using one of these (or very similar Remington model -looks the same) since 2011 after previous tenant left it in the cupboard when I moved in. Has since been replaced after the plastic rocker switch became brittle and broke. Seconded to the garage where it finally stopped blowing hot air a few weeks ago, after using it for extended periods heating spray paint cans, and softening fender paint whilst pumping and rolling the guards on my vehicles.

Also did a free TAFE course Cert II in Salon Assistant last year. The technical term we used was blow waver. I see this one comes with the directional attachment so good for using with the straight brush to get even coverage when doing a hair straightening procedure.

    Can recommend. 5 stars.

      The best product review. Ever.

      Period.

      • Free is good.

    • heating spray paint cans

      Why?

When spray painting from a can paint flows better from the nozzle when it’s warm as opposed to when it’s cold. Usually you’d stand the spray can in a bucket of warm water, or leave it in the sun for a few mins to warm up the paint. It helps to mitigate against something called the “orange peel” effect in which the paint finish is dimpled like an orange peel (instead of a smooth finish).

  • In my experience the hair dryer is light, has a shorter cord and less blowing power than I would like - but good value at this price.

  • Good hairdryers. I've been using it for nearly four years now. However, the concentrator no longer attaches to the hair dryer due to a broken plastic tab. Any ideas on getting a replacement concentrator. I know I can buy another hairdryer dirt cheap but still kinda silly when mine still works haha…

Just one thing, it does such a good job blowing my hair, that I'm starting to develop a hairline and a bald spot hahaha

  • For $13.. Unless this literally kills me, I can't see how this wont be worth the cost.

Where's all the people who keep posting these Dyson Hairdryers for $460+ and calling them a bargain… ?
take note, this a bargain - you can have 35 of them for less than 1 "bargain" dyson on sale… 35x !!

Sure its probably not as good - but my missus uses one of these and its okay - its not 35 times worse, that's for sure… it still dries hair!

    • Thats like saying

A nokia 5110 makes phone calls just like an iphone does

      • +3

        no, its not…
it's like saying a Motorola Moto G 5G Plus makes calls just like a iphone 12 does

        • Can you get me a motorola 35 times cheaper ?

          • @J5: no, but they are both new and both do the same job… one just does it slightly better with more prestige for way more money

      • that's only comparable if you only use your phone for calls.

        • Does a phone dry hair as well ?

      • It's like Toyota and Lexus, why people buy Lexus.

  • Excellent, just need one.
