  • Is it possible to flash these with Tuya-Convert?

    • -1

Yeah!! Easy to say~ You could download the "Tuya"App to control the wifi strip lights. Our Use manual have the QR code.

      • I don't want to use the Tuya App (or anything in the cloud).
I want to connect directly to a local server (e.g. openHAB probably via MQTT openHAB binding.

There is demand for devices that work with open standards, rather than relying on cloud based systems that might disappear.

        • Your question is very profound. I need to ask our engineer.Pls wait a monment, thanks a lot!!

          • +2

@Jackey Chen: @JESLED - better to ask your engineer:
            1. Whether this uses an older version of the TUYA SDK (i.e. not the new PSK 02 algorithm)
            2. Confirm the MCU is ESP8266 (not the Realtek chip)

            • @nemesis: OKay, I've just been asked and waiting for a reply

        • was able to connect using LocalTuya on my home assistant.

  • I had bought a bluebooth LED strip previously, Can I connect (Extend) bluetooth version with this one and control it via wifi?

    • Yes and no. If your bluetooth strip is 24V 4 pin RGB yes, but, it will depend on the capacity of the DC adapter provided if it can support the extra current.

    • You could buy it with confidence. The smart phone could download the two app in the App store or goole play( Our Use manual have the QR code).
Bluetooth control is Happy Lighting App, the wifi control is Tuya App. This can be achieved by a phone alone control. By the way if you have any issues just free to contact us here.

    • The situation you mention, that need to purchase the all wifi strip lights.

    • Hey our engineer just reply~
The Bluetooth extension cannot be done at this time. Consier to the WIFI control and cost issues…
But if you really want to conenct extend bluetooth with this one, you could need a wifi transverter. That is very expensive~
(TIPS:The power adapter you need: Input 85-265V, output 24V 1A with WF control, our light bar, the input voltage is 24V, the current is 1A, if you connect two, the current is 2A. ) By the way if you have any issues just free to contact us here.

  • Question for anyone who specialises in these sort of things - is there a basic way I can setup up these type of lights, and have them change according the to the beat of the music I’m playing in the room? I have a few sets which can do this, but rely on having them connected to your phone via wifi (which can then either react the the music playing on your phone, or via the mic to hear the ambient room sounds)

But what I’m hoping to do is have ones that simply listen to the room sounds/music, whenever simply switched on (ie no wifi or Bluetooth connection required, but if a 3.5mm I out is required, that would be even better).
Is there a simple and cheap sound-controller that has a microphone to achieve this, ideally using the same 4/5pin inputs that these RGB(W) strip lights have?

    Cheers for any tips!

    • Hey, thanks for your high attention. About what you mention the music function, you just could use the app. For exmple bluetooth or wifi. We don't have a light bar that has music function at the same time but doesn't need wifi or bluetooth control. Basically the strip lights on the market is configured like this.By the way if you have any issues just free to contact us here.

    • Our engineer just reply the question. At present, the product you bought does not have the external control audio function, but we will add this function to the product later.
At present, the company has several products that can meet your needs. 3m TV strip lights. This is the link:https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08NT464C2

  • Not a bad price for an RGB (4 pin) strip, but if you're after accurate whites, you need to look elsewhere. Whites are only approximated on these strips using red, blue and green only.

The latest strips are 6 pin RGBWW / RGBCCT. 3 diodes RGB, warm white and cool white.

    • Yeah, The market that completely needs the white light bar is different. For now, we target customers who need a variety of colors.
      Thanks for your attention~~

    • At present, we have developed the RGBW product you mentioned, but it is not yet on the market.

      • OK good. Try for RGBWW or better still 3 diodes on the one chip to give CCT.

        • Thanks, we will report this suggestion to the company!!

  • I notice there's a different power adapter between the 5M and 16.4 ft option. Looks like the white adapter (5M option) is not Australian plug?

    • The wifi strip lights has Australia power supply in the package for free.
The background system is not refreshed, 16.4ft is the 10m strip lights and 5m is 5m.
Because of the Amazon system. At the same time, we not only sell in the Australia, but also many country.
We basically can only use one set of pictures for the same product. The first image of the power supply is satisfy other country satisfy. So we don't chage.

  • I had bought two bluebooth LED strip previously, how can I connect two strips using one power supply. There is no strip splitter cable connector inside the package, and don't know where to buy it.

    • hey, you could use the diy menthod to connect the two bluetooth strip lights.
      Connectors:https://www.amazon.com.au/Connectors-Solderless-Extension-Multicolor-Connector/dp/B07Y35MGWB/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1CZJ075TFABTY&dchild=1&keywords=led+connector&qid=1614745179&sprefix=led+co%2Caps%2C493&sr=8-1

      • Can I buy the "T Shape Connectors", and one end is connected to the power supply, and the other two ends are connected to the LED strip?

        • Actually our package had the 2 connectors.
You could use the DIY menthods to connect the 2 strip lights.

    • If only it weren't for advertising…..

  • Does this display one colour at a time or can have multiple colours on at the same time?

    • At the same time just show the same colour~ Thanks for your attention!!

  • I just received this LED Strip : https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08XM9N628
and previously ordered the Spot lights : https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08C9K55BK

Both products are working well, I'm happy with the Spot lights brightness, it's USB chargeability and 'always-on mode' and my daughter loves the LED Strip which is easily controlled with the remote.

I found the JESLED support team helpful and responsive
