Castrol Edge Synthetic 5W-30 Engine Oil 5L $37 (Was $72) + $9.90 Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Repco (Ignition Membership Required)

400

My first post,
I was looking for engine oil and I found this price is decent although it seems a year ago there was around $35 one time but I think this is the best price so far if this fits your vehicle.

    • I see what you did there lol

  • Is Ignition membership closed? as i tried joining over the last few months, but button is never active, I have tried different browsers, devices, none seem to have an active "Join Now" button

    • I just joined over the counter. Took 20 seconds :)

  • Very old spec oil.

This is a good thing, this oil meets all SN specs except for its higher zinc content. Zinc (or ZDDP to be precise) is a potent antiwear additive, and this oil has lots of it. The only downside is that it reduces catalytic converter efficiency a bit, and given how emissions focused governments are these days, anything that has an impact on this is in the crosshairs.

Otherwise an excellent oil if you care about engine protection.

Nulon Long Life Performance is $29 at the same time and is an API SN oil (https://www.repco.com.au/en/oils-fluids/engine-oils-fluids/e…)

    • Excellent thankyou was needing to replace the oil in my car. You should make a separate post about this.

    • It's coming up as $67 each on that link!

      • I think you are a bit late…

Delivery should be $5 with repco ignition as it is normally with ignition

  • i usually pick it up for $35 on sale OP.

  • Not the latest tech oil however it's not going in anything high performance so I buy this oil as a very small way of supporting Mighty Car Mods.
