Man I used to love this magazine as a kid, even though it was basically buying a giant ad for overpriced plastic

Pretty amazing that they're still going when there's so much wargaming content free online.

I haven't read one recently, but the ones I used to get were only ever packed with how-tos, lore, showcases, stories, etc. Compared to other magazines you pay for they're actually quite free of ads!

FW/GW have invested a lot in plastic injection molding IP, which you're paying for but also hours of engagement per $, they're stupidly good! For a squad I'd take easily 30h to paint it, let alone all the games etc.

      • The how-tos, lore, showcases, stories all act as an advertisement for getting you to buy more figures!

You can’t see any advertisements because everything is, that being said it’s all very high quality and good content as well.

This reminds me of being a kid and getting the latest PlayStation Magazine to read the reviews and (mainly) to use the demo disc to play the latest games. Kids get it easy now.

They don't need to make free demos any more.. suckers will pay full price for 'early access'

I love paying to beta test for developers, even better if I can get involved with alpha testing and have an awful gaming experience.

Cool you'll love my new pixel art survival battle royale with crafting, $79 please.

@Merlict: Can i pay more for some purely cosmetic changes? a barely visible weapon skin and a useless hat perhaps?

  • I already have 8 of the games, but i still think its worth it.

I actually really want the games, but not so much the magazine. Does anyone know if this bundle is available, or want to sell me thier code?

    • +8

      Sure. $22.

      • Haha i like your entrepreneurial spirit!

        • Works out $22 with shipping for me lol.

With luck, GW will treat the Astartes movie well.

Here's to hoping it's not like the Warcraft flop.

      • +1

There's a 2010 Ultramarines movie that makes Warcraft look like Citizen Kane hah

      • As much of a bashing it had I did enjoy it for face value and not for its lore. The big issue that they would have to navigate is lore and the diehard fans.

This will be my first trip to a GW store in about 30 years. Might take the kids to show them the kind of toys their dad used to play with!

I wish this was available for XBox :(

  • so would this code work only on Aus region accounts?

    • I would assume they'd be International codes as printing for a single region would be prohibitively expensive on GW's part

  • Man I used to love warhammer as a kid. Used to have an army of space marines and skeleton warriors lol

  • This is now available in-store to pick up without ordering online.
