          Before or after cashrewards?

  • Looks like Creative designers got inspiration from Willow ice brick…

  • I only paid $15 more for the G6 off amazon. When I had my eye on it, it would occasionally dip to around $160 for a couple hours then back to RRP. Not sure whether that’s enough time for camelx3 to pick up on the price drop

Are you feelin' so fly like a G6
      Like a G6, like a G6?

        Like a cheese stick?

  • I've always just plugged headphone into a port and be done with it, does this really make a difference?

dedicated soundcards are waaay better than onboard soundcards… you wont know until you try and compare

    • It can depending on how bad your existing sound card is and if you are trying to drive headphones that have a high impedance.

Will it make a difference if you are just plugging in some decent run of the mill headphones? That's a little more subjective, but people swear by it nd that offering more power to headphones in general can make them sound better.

    • My mobo (X570 Aorus Pro Wifi) has "above average" onboard sound, and replacing it with a G6 (model above this one) to drive my HIFIMAN HE4XXs, there was a very noticeable difference in soundstage and presence of mid-highs.

Generally speaking, any headphones/earphones that aren't cheap crap will benefit from an amp, and adding a quality DAC doesn't hurt either, but then again, I'm not much of an audiophile.

Are these good for PC speakers too or are they aimed for headphones?

    • good question I wanted to know as well

    • You can plug either into them and select what you're using via the software. This is the case with the G6, so I don't see why it would be any different for this model.

      • But does it make PC speakers sound better?

        • Haven't tried it with speakers, don't see why they wouldn't provided you're not using $5 garbage. If you're using Edifier speakers that are frequently listed here, sure.

      • I ended up buying the x7 one - 40% off
