Thanks. I got a case, but am a bit miffed that Getwinesdirect did not send me an email to notify me of this deal. I have probably placed 6 or so orders with them in the past.
My guess is that it was part marketing for new clients. These guys also seam to have regular cheap slabs of beer to get people to their store. My question is - how did the original poster of this deal find out about it?

This guy must have absolutely mountains of this wine. A few comments from his Facebook page by customers who accidentally ordered more than one box , seems to indicate he is happy to honour those orders. "Keep them" he said.
Maybe he thought he ordered 20 boxes of it, but 20 pallets turned up instead.

GWD offers some pretty good deals, in fact some pretty outstanding wines for the price they're selling them, it's a genuine business and I've bought wine from them quite a few times in the past.
Also, the $2 donation is to a very good cause - read up on their site / Facebook page. Shame on anyone too tight to pay the $2 donation, you're getting 12 bottles of wine for nothing after all!

And those who ordered in excess of 1 dozen will have their order cancelled. WD will send an email to advise those affected, referring to their FB advertisement of "strictly 1 dozen per person". Not sure if everyone here bought based on FB? I found out about it on OB (+1 vote) and went straight to WD site to order.

It's very fair though, they're still sending me one case, I just wish they'd put a limit on each account :p
Fair enough. And it would be fair to cancel all orders over the 1 dozen, although according to their facebook page the owner said to keep the additional orders.
I read the facebook posts also, and he said to keep the orders on the same account to multiple addresses.
Single orders of > 12 bottles will be reduced to 12 bottles. I suspect multiple orders of 12 bottles to the same address may slip through the net.
I wouldn't be expecting too much from the Omni light in terms of quality… GWD has been offloading it in special offers for months.
Hate to say I told you so, cwongtech, but… It was very obvious that this would be limited to a dozen bottles only.

I think for a deal like this where you have been given something for free it should be a case of "if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all".
It's alcohol for 16.6 cents a bottle. Who cares how it tastes. lol.
