  • Purchased. Hopefully taste good.

  • Got one too. Thanks

  • Is the wine really cost $50+ from the RRP?

    • Yes, the labelled version is $50 at the winery.
      Cheers

      • what would be usual retail price at Dan's

        • The wine is not at Dan's.
It's a small boutique winery very near to Hentley Farm Wines.
          Cheers

        • Yep. I have the same question as well.. :)

        • My personal opinion about this wine is that you won't find this quality for less than $25/bottle in other retailers.

  • Considering the prevoius deal we made, we are pretty sure that you will figure out the winery.
    Cheers.

      Triple creek?

    • Received. Absolutely no clue of what I’m drinking. It’s fine to buy it with blind eyes like BLACK MARKET DEAL but I think it’s fair to put some info in the box so I know what I am drinking. Even just for safety purpose.
Can OP DM me to let me know?

        Hi everyone,
Sometimes, the winery decides to print their name on the box and sometimes they don't.
        It depends from the winery.
Unfortunately, this winery doesn't want to associate their name with these cheap prices, as they sell the same wine for a much higher price under label with their name on it.
That's why we can't reveal it.
        Sorry.
Hope you relate to us not being able to reveal it.
        Cheers

PS. Previous vintage of this wine (2021) has 94 points from Wine Orbit.

Here is the review: Richly fruited and opulent, the fragrant bouquet shows blackberry, star anise, dried flower and
vanillin oak characters. The palate is equally satisfying with excellent weight and fleshy texture,
wonderfully framed by layers of silky tannins, finishing splendidly long and delicious. At its best:
        now to 2033

        Point: 94/100

I think that based on this review you will be more than able to figure out what wine it is.

@op: Just out of curiosity, are the grapes grown using conventional methods (with the use of pesticides) or grown organically?

    • Not sure but i think not organically.

  • Thanks OP rep :) Totally understand if not, but is there any chance you can do a mixed case with different vintages for a fun special Christmas wine tasting?

  • What are the delivery times looking like?

    • Would like to know too. Hopefully will be at my door before christmas.

      • It depends.
        We despatch orders every day.
        Interstate with Aust Post.
        Regional SA with Cochranes Transport
All todays orders will be despatched tomorrow morning.

Adelaide Metro with our own vans and we have set days for different areas.

        Hope this helps.
        Cheers

  • Thanks, I grabbed a case. Pretty sure I know the source, and if so have been to their cellar door in the past, not a bad winery at all.

    • After reading your post. I pull the trigger. :) Hope not disappointed.

      • Same here.. Hoping someone can dm me whom the source could be.

    • Why not share with everyone else?

    Is my guess

But I have way too much wine at the moment and my wife will not be happy if I get even more. I have a wine buying problem

    • OP's deal says it's 2023 though.

      • 2023 vintage of the same wine then.

        All signs point to that

  • Thanks, in the words of Kevin McAllister, “I’ll give it a whirl”

Did you let them keep the change?

  • Thanks, I just ordered a case, I signed up with Skyecellars a few days ago.

  • Thanks, put a order in, hopefully the wife approves of this Shiraz

So I received my order today but there's no indication on the box or bottles what winery this originated from, except that it's a 2023 Barossa Valley Shiraz.

Based on previous deals I was under the impression the winery would be printed on the box, so at least we'd know what we were drinking if we blind purchased a case…

Not getting a response from this business after overdue delivery was returned from the depot due to damage. Sick of having to follow them up for my order never received. Can't say my first experience was a good one. @Rep get back to me please

    • +1

      Oh come on.
We did reply to your message.
I needed your order number or your email address or your name so I can can figure out your order.
You haven't replied to me yet.
      But you comment here instead.
      Very nice of you.
      Cheers.

Redacted the neg. I hadn't received tracking or any update until Friday after reaching out after 10 days. That's not on me, that's on the email notifiers. It's my first purchase, anyone in my shoes has a right to be concerned given the circumstances.

Was also worrisome to be in that position of the unknown and unsure whether the purchase that was for Christmas presents would actually arrive, by mid morning the following business day I simply didn't have much hope at all

        • Hi,
I understand the frustration and i am sorry that you didn't receive the wine on time.
I get that you may have needed the wine before Christmas and you ordered well on time for that.
But we have no control over Australia Post and damages can happen.
If I guess correctly, you must be (mod: edited).
If so, just letting you know that Aust post still hasn't replied to my email in regards to your order.
The wine just showed up in our warehouse this morning.
We also are closed on weekends, so we only saw your email this morning.
          Hope you understand.
          Cheers.

    • Just for transparency here is our communication with you:

My order was placed on the 11th, first communication came late last week, it's been received in South Australia yet I've heard nothing from your business. Australia post is claiming it's damaged and being returned, it would be nice to not have to follow you guys up

      Hi.
Australia post normally lets us know about damaged items but they have stopped doing it since the end of November. I have spoken to our account manager many times about it and they haven't fixed it yet.

Please let me know your order number or email address and I will redespatch it today.
      Thanks

  • The wine is incredible, loved it. A truly good Barossa Shiraz

  • I've ordered this on the 18th of December and was scheduled to arrive on the 23rd - 24th of December. It is now the 5th of January and it has not arrived. Auspost has held this at a facility for a solid 2+ weeks now. I've tried to send an inquiry to AusPost on the 29th of January but have not received a response. I've emailed the Skye Cellars support on the 30th of December and the 2nd of January. I understand this is holiday season so that is understandable, and the late delivery is likely not your fault, however, I'd like to get a response from AusPost ASAP at this point. If you could please reach out and get this sorted, it would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi. Sorry about that.
We have been closed from the 24th of December and we will reopen tomorrow.
We will look into it tomorrow morning for you.
      Thanks

      • No problem, I figured this was the case. Appreciate the prompt response.

  • This is great wine. Just ordered another dozen.
