Decent Android $200-$350 - similar to Nexus S, Incredible S?

Looking at getting one for my friend who's replacing a blackberry within the next couple of months.

So I know that over the past few months, there have been the Nexus S and Incredible S deals:
Nexus S deals:
Samsung Nexus S I9023 Black Unlocked $269 + Free Express Shipping @ Unique Mobiles
Nexus S $299 Unlocked - Vodafone Prepaid

Incredible S deals:

Another one which was a "generic" good deal for phones was this ($200 off Unlocked Phones on Allphones).

Besides these two, what other phones around this price range are currently competitively priced relative to the specs offered? The Nexus S and Incredible S have been the pick of the bunch over the past couple of months, what's new?

      I myself already have a Nexus S and I quite like it. Just seeing if there was anything new around that has taken over as the new "best value phone".

    On one sale an overseas seller had the HTC sensation at 350, I'm predicting it will be at that price level in a few months. Telstra prepaid motorola defy+ is a good tough shock water resist phone at 299.

      Oh, where did you see the Sensation for $350? Where did you find the Defy+ for $299? I just found this Defy+ for $304 but it looks like it's got $80 shipping costs?!?!

          I see JB Hi-Fi is selling it for that price too. Not sure who it's locked to though.

    those 2 phone on your list are non 850Mhz phone, very poor reception with vodafone. But should be cool with optus, woolworth etc. :)

    if you want to go on vodafone, buy a voda/HTC chacha or salsa on ebay.
