  Why is there so much cheap Pinot noir around at the moment? I got a bunch of curious kiwi, chalk board and robinsons from first choice recently at $5/bottle. Seems unusual.

    could it have anything to do with the issues with China? I would imagine that perhaps the wine makers are after some cash flow considering a potentially significant portion of their usual market has been cut off abruptly

      I wondered that too, but why only Pinot noir and quite a few from nz (I believe not affected by China ban).

      Apparently there’s been a couple of scandals with people selling off different wine varieties/regions as Pinot Noir I wonder if it’s something like this. In fact this article from 2017 is the year of a bunch of the pinots I bought recently

    The wine is at Costco Docklands for the non discount price and you can only buy it in a 6 bottle cases AFAIK.

    It was about $50 in store for the 6 pack when I picked them up at Costco Moorabbin. Wasn't available as individual bottles.
