Starting March 1 10AM (yes the WS will probably crash) eligible families may claim up to 2 vouchers per child in different periods for listed sports and activities. Kids must be 4-18 with 100,000 vouchers being listed.

      Wat a rude response

Lot of well to do people prefer govt schools than the private ones

    • They are counting on the 100k vouchers to last a whole year, so I don't think that is going to happen.

Been waiting for this since it was announced last November. Then to find out of its only for Health Care Card holders. Sigh.

I don't think promoting exercise is a very cost effective means of shrinking the wealth gap.

Maybe free memberships to museums/zoos and STEM related activities.

so getting a swimming lesson at a YMCA pool would be Eligible for this?

as had a look at the memberships which have no idea what they offer exactly, some seem to be competition but i just want my kid to learn something.

Comparing this to NSW's criteria, I'm quite surprised you need to hold a health care/pension card to be eligible…

    Eligibility
If you’re a parent, carer or guardian, the student will be eligible if they are:

    a NSW resident
aged between 4.5 and 18 years
enrolled in school (from Kindergarten to Year 12, including those who are home-schooled or enrolled in secondary school education at TAFE NSW)
    a current Medicare card holder.
You can apply for a voucher for each eligible student.

A great initiative which will help kids from disadvantaged backgrounds!

  • Website still not working properly. cant submit because they have issues with confirming your identity. spoke to them 3 times already. they have confirmed it is an IT issue.

    • Has anyone managed to submit the claim? Still showing issue with identity confirmation today.

  • I'm stuck on getting receipts for the activities : (
It really is a pain in the ass all the info they want .

  • I have rung 5 times before I got a solution. (It would not verify my id. ) I had to submit my claim manually via email to [email protected].

However you need to ring Business Victoria first and get an ID number.

  • I called and emailed but still no helping..

  • they are still having issues with the website confirming identity. Until then you cannot submit a claim. it bounces back and becomes a draft again.

    • Do you think they will ever fix the problem?

  • nope. problem still not fixed.
