3500X-3060-MAR

Hi folks
Launch day for RTX 3060 12GB. Reviews seem to be pretty good, especially given the comparative jump from RTX 2060 into 1440P gaming, the base price we're hitting and shortage of other cards on the market.

AMD Ryzen 5 3500X | RTX 3060 12GB Gaming PC: $1298 after 3500X-3060-MAR

  • AMD Ryzen 5 3500X 6c/6t processor
  • NVIDIA RTX 3060 12GB graphics card [Dual Fan models used as bundled card - upgrades to 3 fan MSI and Gigabyte cards available]
  • Gigabyte B550M Gaming MATX motherboard [MSI X570-A Pro and Gigabyte Aorus Elite/Asus Tuf X570 WiFi upgrades available - mention which you prefer in Notes field and we'll do our best to accommodate]
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (2x8, brand/model may vary)
  • 250GB NVME m.2 SSD (upgrades available)
  • Gigabyte P650B 650W 80 Plus PSU
  • MSI MAG Vampiric or MAG Forge 100R case (The Vampiric won't fit a 240mm liquid cooler and 3-fan card so choose the Forge if you're after that combo)

The cards are with us and these systems will start to ship once we clear the orders from below deals, should be around the 14 business day mark.

Other deals

Shipping Updates:
- TA 3600/3070 deal - we've shipped large numbers of the orders from this deal and are still making our way through them, so yep have some catching up to do but working as fast as possible on these. More will ship today and continue to ship next week - hang in there for those as we work through them.
- Feb 3080 orders - waiting on dispatch notification on these - both information and stock is starting to flow on other models so 3080s should be in the same situation
- 1660 Supers - suppliers' ETA early Feb for these to come in. Customers are being emailed with ETAs/options.

Cheers

Love to pick one up without a GPU at some point if possible.

        • +8

you can offer him 200 over MRSP and it would still be 250 cheaper than what retailers and ebay are scalping.

This is the worst year of gpus I've ever seen

Techfast deals are the only saviors right now

    • How to order unassembled? Warranty for parts still covered right?

      • +5

Enter SHIP UNASSEMBLED in the Notes field during checkout. Yep, manufacturer warranties apply and if they require the customer to come back through their place of purchase, we assist with that. Unassembled orders are not prioritised ahead of older orders but skip build and testing. Packaging wise you receive parts as we receive them, either retail packaging or OEM/bulk packaged, securely packaged for transit.

        • Thanks for the reply, just made an order. If its assembled by you will you go through all the bios settings to unlock the memory frequencies and stuff? Thanks

    • -5

Hi, on your website, how come there is no specs of the ready made system eg Quad Core Intel i5 3.7GHz Esports Gaming Desktop PC does that have an external GPU?

WHen you get the time can you please put the details asa tow aht exactly we are getting..like above to all your ready made systems.

Can you have the deal above replacing corsair with Kingston A2000 1TB. no PSU. Same price, I supply my own PSU 850W Gold thermaltake ?

      cheers,

    • Hey Luke,

Are there any plans for a 5900x build? Or can I order the recent 3500x build without cpu/with cpu shipped in its package?

      Cheers.

    • I know many won't care for this, however, it is good to mine Ethereum with your GPU when not gaming. With current rates it will pay the computer off in a year, maybe less.
I mention this because this is a good deal. But it is better to get a techfast deal with a 3070. A 3070 gives about 62Mh/s eth hashrate and the 3060 only 27.
Consider it is a price difference of $400, which would take 3 months to earn back while mining eth, and gives you much better gaming performance.

If you can stretch the budget, get the 3070, mine some eth, sell if you must, hold for the long term if you are willing to believe it is next internet.

      • Aren't you putting your GPU at risk for being overheated? I heard that a mining rig must be well ventilated as mining requires your GPU to work extra hard hence overtime it will degrade much quicker.

Have you seen a comparison of the same model of GPU, 1 was put on a mining rig whilst the other wasn't; the result shows how the miners' GPU performed worse.

And from the $ benefit stamp view, 1x 3070 does pretty much peanut, though I don't debate the hash rate will be better than 3060 but you will need plenty of those 3070 to yield profits and not to mention, you will need heaps solar panels on your roof to help you with the electricity bill which is guaranteed to spike once you run your mining rig with multiple GPUs.

  • Able to upgrade the GPU to higher tier?

    • 3600 not this time around - 3700X yes if folks are interested?

      • Yes please will see if I can squeeze it into my budget this time…. :)

        • +2

I've added the 3700X upgrade from the 3500X.

          • @luketechfast: Thanks.. over my budget.. ordered with the 3500X. Look forward to the machine :)

      • That'd be great man if you could do some 3700x deals.

    • +1

Misread that as CPU obviously - but if you mean higher tier 3060 models then it's just the ones we have listed for now.

  • Damn, sweet deal.

    • -4

You sure? Seems expensive to me…

      • +1

        Welcome back.

  • How long is shipping to Melbourne? Wondering if I will get my TA rig next week, hasn't shipped yet.

    • AusPost is generally 2-3 days from SA. We'll do our very best for you

  • +17

Good deal, buy RTX 3060, get a free pc parts.

    • -3

you can buy a RTX 3060 for $729, so not really

      • +8

If you can find one at that price post it on ozbargains.

        • +1

People will roast them anyway cause the mspr is meant to be $500 😂

It was available from pccg this morning

      • Find one and then sell it to me for +$100.

  • +4

Hey Luke - when are you opening up the phone lines again? Social distancing really can't be the excuse any more. Dealing with support over email and waiting days for a response is incredibly frustrating.

    • There shouldn't be anyone waiting days for a reply - I'm looking at the inbox and there are very few awaiting reply at all let alone a big delay so it would be an anomaly I'm happy to escalate for you via PM if needed!

      • +7

Sorry I should have elaborated - I had a friend I persuaded to get a PC from TF who then had an issue needing to send the PC back to Adelaide a couple of months ago. There was a fair bit of back and forth with many emails taking multiple business days to get a response on. I now have an issue with my 3080 and don't want to go through the same rigmarole, and to be honest feel like I should be able to speak to someone to get support on my $2500 purchase. Is there any plans to be taking calls again? I much prefer speaking to someone than sending an email.

        • +4

Sure, that's reasonable. There are no immediate plans to reopen the inbound phones right now because on the whole we feel it's working and it would involve another staffing and resource restructure we just haven't considered yet, but we can definitely make outbound calls upon request. Let me know.

          • @luketechfast: Much appreciated. Cheers. You will get this very request in your inbox Monday morning after I do some more troubleshooting this weekend :)

        • Sure.

        • +17

Jesus give them at least one business day before you start asking for them to check it

          • +1

            @Kallavan14: some customers…. SMH

again, what do they say about the customer is always right?

      • +3

I've had a really good time with TechFast support over e-mail so far, quick responses and to the point - very little back and forth. Just wanted to share my 2 cents.

    • +1

I have had very quick replies recently. Sometimes responses within the hour of asking for, or sending back more info. I have been dealing with Aaron, and he has been great (please tell him Luke).

      • I second that

  • Hey Luke,
    Any i9/3080 i9/3070 deals coming?

    • They had an i9 3070 not too long ago I think?

      • Yeah, when i went to order it was out of stock!

    • We sold what we could get paired with 3080, haven't heard about any further supply right now though.

      • What would be the i9 AMD equiv?
Anything on the AMD side of things?

        • Ryzen 9 3900X and 5900X. 5900X is a bit of a ghosty still and 3900X is previous gen so not really obtainable in "deal" quantities. Until supply improves it's not possible to offer an OzB deal on them.

      • -4

Do you sell indivdual gpu's? Desperately need a 3060ti for around $800

        • Yeah nah. We haven't had a 3060 Ti for quite a while let alone one at $800

  • -6

Hey Luke, just wondering if you can give order TF143862631 some attention? ;)

    Just kidding

But not really, I think about the feeling of that package arriving about 7 times a day

  • At this point it's just tempting to buy a 3060/3060ti build just for the card and use my own pieces..solid deal!

  • +4

Am I missing something with these 3060 xards
They are way over Rrp, it's 330 usd, selling for 900 in aus
Performance is worse then my old 1080ti that I sold for 680
    Why buy it

    • +4

      Miners

      • Correct.

    • It's also a bit weird cause techfast sold the 3070 tower the other day for 1.5k. techfast's deals are always magical, but these 3060 cards are a bit weird in pricing.

      • A week is probably a long time under the current conditions????

    • +1

a 3060 should beat a 1080ti where are you finding your benchmarks?

      • should but DOESNT
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C-RoDtqdJ8&ab_channel=Gamer…
even if its close its still not a deal

        • Well its a brand new card and you got nearly 700 for your comparable card from generations ago but it would be nice if they would settle at the around $600 range. Demand is just so great this generation its just insane to buy pc parts its amazing how techfast put up some of these pricing deals.

          • +3

@XiTaU: its a kick in the nuts to gamers card, just buy old 20x or 1080ti - even they are being sold for stupid money thx to miners
I hope the whole crypto goes to hell - haven't heard of anything dumber then "mining" for coin on your comp
what else will they come up with

  • Hey Luke! Wondering about the turn around time for tech support is, got my build- from the earlier arsecrusher deal and cannot get it to work at all! Bummed that it came early but seems it won’t work :/

    • Should be same day especially for a DOA as yours seems to be, PM if you've emailed and haven't had a reply

      • -4

Can’t PM as Im restricted because I’m a new user but sent an email at 12 today and no response!

        • +3

Ok sure. A couple of hours means the guys will be aware of it and looking into it for you with a view to replying ASAP.

  • Hey Luke, for the 3700x upgrade, the checkout charges $279 instead of $259 as listed on the add on

    • $279 is the correct price, may have been cached and should be correct now.

  • Hey luke, do you guys ship it with the product boxes?

    • If you order it Unassembled you'll receive it as we receive it (some retail packaging, some may be OEM/bulk packaged but securely shipped). If fully assembled we don't send packaging as we're not setup for managing boxes through pick, assembly, build, testing and dispatch.

      • But do i still get warranty if I build it myself?

        • Lol

        • +1

Via the manufacturer on components yes, through our assembled system warranty (ie will we fix any build issues free of charge), no.

  • +1

Great to see different budget systems, out of curiosity what's the power difference in performance between $1500-2500? It is ridiculous? I'm just curious.

Just blows my mind the Graphic Cards cost half the systems 😂

    • Why does the GPU cost so much money?

      • Silicone shortages

      • 12GB of very fast RAM

    • no, $/perf is best the lower you go. 1080p is very cheap, 1440p/144fps systems is getting closer to ok value, 4k systems have little value. decide what you want to do first and with what budget then look for a setup to suit

      • 1080p was? very cheap….

        • yes about the same cost as the current gen consoles for a 1080p /144Hz spec system

  • +1

Hey Luke, Does this build include wifi? If not are there any upgrades that I could make to enable wifi

    • possibly the mobo with wifi ?
X570 Motherboard With WiFi (Requires ATX Case)

      or

      150Mbps USB Wi-Fi Adapter $19.00
      600Mbps USB Wi-Fi Adapter $35.00

      • Sorry, what does (Required ATX case) mean, is it not suitable with the case already included in the build?

        • That particular "option set" and its descriptions is shared with other products that don't feature an ATX case. Both cases in this deal are ATX so no space issues.

          • @luketechfast: Should I just get a separate PCIE WiFi card instead of upgrading the motherboard? Seems like it'd be alot cheaper.

            • @bsnizzle: If you don't want/need the X570 chipset, for sure.

    • +1

The bundled motherboard doesn't feature WiFi BUT unlike most MATX motherboards it has a PCIE slot ABOVE the GPU meaning you could install a WiFi card (we don't offer them, just 150 and 600 MBPS USB adapters). The X570 WiFi upgrade does feature WiFi and Bluetooth and is either Gigabyte Aorus Elite or Asus Tuf Plus - you can request via Notes field.

  • +5

Any chance of bringing back the tightarse deal?

    • +3

Will trigger if we get ARSECRUNCHER again!

    • Not in the short term

  • Hi Luke,

Do you guys have any plans on doing mini ITX buids? Or would it be possible to part out case & mobo so that I could find my own mini itx solutions.

    Thanks!

    • COVID ended any plans we had for ITX builds and until supply chains are fully restored we can't look at it. I can't remove any parts to reduce the cost sorry.

      • Ah.. that sucks, no worries, will keep an eye out. Honestly with the amount of scalping out there for GPUs it still might work out cheaper to just buy extra mobo and case.

Thanks for super quick response and good luck, hope to be your customer one day

      • Hey Luke, any new deals coming soon. I have myself and a few other lads keen for some beastly gaming rigs. just wondering when or if any will pop up soon. CHeers.

        • Supply is still lowest its ever been on beastly rig gear. 6700 XT launches shortly so we're hoping to offer something on that

  • While still available the i5/3070 deal is better (noting some other differences such as case - sad there were no case upgrade options on that one).

That's not really Techfast's fault, the 3060 is just ridiculously overpriced in Australia

  • Is got a stock cooler on the cou?

    • +1

      Yes. Wait…what?!

  • Cpu?
