Upload a receipt please. Not too sure of the idea of price matching as a 'deal' vs 'should be in the forums'.

This would be good for anyone that is going out of the country and can be bothered to line up to get the GST refunded.

Would be great if a receipt could be uploaded for us. If so, I'm going in tomorrow to pick one up too!
      Thanks!

quality of tv's, his regular appearance on tv current affair shows, big head syndrome, dodgy sales tactics(xmas day prices went up, same day his discounted gift vouchers were able to be used)

  • where are the xoom/galaxy/android fanbois?

    • +1

      Hilarious.

It's cheaper in other places like DWI. The Apple warranty is worldwide so no need to buy from David Jones. However you might consider it if you in their rewards program.

So long as she doesn't get things confused…..

  • David Jones has relaxed their price matching policy. All they need is a catalog or an online reference of the price and they will price match it. (They previously had to call the store and make sure that there were items in stock).

    • Yes, but the catalogue or website they are price matching still has to have a physical retail store in Australia - like JB online, MSY etc.
Thier price match policy does not cover online only stores, warehouse stores or clearance stores:
      http://davidjones.com.au/images/PDFs/PricePolicyDocument_OPT…
They also don't match the 'grey imports' as they are not always covered by manufacturers warranty (apple being an exception) and may not meet australian safety standards if purchased through another country - hence JB's cameras online may not always be matched and harvey's new games website won't be matched.

So while the original poster got a good deal, it's less likely anyone else will get it. Even with a receipt they would need to know who was price matched originally

  • price matching is not a bargain. Sorry guys, but this has been the rule for a very long time.

Oops, Sorry Had No Idea you weren't allowed to post a Price Match ? - Don't Post Often here.
I thought it was a Bargain Simply because It was a Storefront, and I didn't have to wait for Shipping.

How Do I Delete this then ?

    • +1

it appears nobody agrees with me anyway so I wouldnt bother.

perhaps its because you can walk in and get it and not have to deal with David Jones. Either way, I just wish there were rules, and the mods actually policed them.

      • Did you bother reporting the deal?

        • if he had, there would have been a decision by now

  • Geezus IPads are expensive!

Thats all i have to say.

  • I've tried this but it didn't work for me. It's really down to the shop and employee. I don't feel it's a bargain as firstly it's so hit and miss. Perhaps this can be moved elsewhere.

Never wasting my petrol like that again.

  • On the boxing day I asked one of the JB Hifi people for a deal on Ipad 2 Wifi white and he gave me a 3 dollar discount.

So I ended up not buying. Maybe I will try this tomorrow :)

    Thanks for the post !

  • I bought the 32gb wi-fi version from these guys just before Xmas for $615 including delivery. Seemed a good deal to me and was delivered pretty quickly.

You can also get the 16gb 3g for $644.96 including delivery so it beats this deal.
