  • Is this HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.1 compatible?

    • +1

Yes it is but will only do 30hz not 60+

I've been looking around for something like for my PS5. I ended up with getting one from Jaycar https://www.jaycar.com.au/concord-hdmi-audio-extractor/p/AC5…. Bit expensive, but it works for my setup and does 4k 60fps HDR.

    • Over 3 times the price, but unless you are using it on a 1080p monitor then this (phoir's recommendation) is the better choice for anyone gaming.

  • I'm looking for an eARC extractor - I want to take audio from my TV via HDMI eARC, have some magical device that extracts the DTSHD/TruHD audio and sends that to my HDMI1.4 amp. Something like the HDFury 4K Vertex2 but a lot more affordable. Any suggestions?

    • Your TV doesn't have Optical audio out? You can usually configure it so any and ALL sound from the TV comes out of the optical port unfiltered. (So doesn't matter what the TV volume is)

      • optical can only do dolby digital

      • Optical doesn't carry the high res audio formats that bluray and 4K media support

  • $20.79 delivered from AliExpress.

  • If you're going to use this on a monitor signal, be aware it will very likely strip out the Display Data Channel / Command Interface (DDC/CI). So you won't be able to control your monitor settings via software (eg Dell Display Manager will be defunct).

  • Have one works well on my Shield, for my Sony Dolby digital optical only 7.2 receiver.
