Which Pressure Washer Do You Recommend?

Hi everyone, so currently I am looking to purchase a pressure washer that I will use to clean the built-up dirt on my driveway and outdoor concrete floors so they look better and aren't as slippery to walk on. I will also use it to clean my car.

So I was wondering which pressure washer is the best for my money. Some people suggest I get a Karcher or Bosch but not sure which model would be the best for my use.
Also if you remember any good deals on a pressure washer that was posted on this site please let me know so I can keep a lookout if they go cheap again.

Thanks

  • All the same at that price. I went with a cheap gerni, wish i paid a bit more.

How much more, and what would you have purchased?

We have the cheapest Bunnings Karcher. Looks like the 1400W 1750PSI K2 Plus High Pressure Cleaner for $149.00. Works a treat, can't remember what we paid but was a few years ago. Enjoy, few jobs are as rewarding as a good day pressure washing. If I was looking for a new career I'd happily pressure wash all day long.

Had a Gerni for bit over 12 months. OK for small jobs.
Brought a 4 stroke ALDI one for $299 - I reckon it is as powerful as some commercial model - love it. My builder is now constantly borrowing it. Come with 3 year warranty so make sure to keep the receipt.

By the most expensive your budget will allow. I did that and wish i spent more on a more powerful unit.
I have a gerni and its been going strong for 15 years now. I purchased a longer hose (15 meter for $150) and have a fair few accessories for it now too.
The cheaper Karcher and no name brands are known to have plastic pumps and dont last long. I have the equivalent of the current Gerni 5300 and i wouldn't go any smaller than that. Gerni say they have all metal pumps, and give a 7 year warranty so there is some piece of mind there.
Just make sure you can get a longer hose, and the short hose length is what really annoys you after you get a cheaper unit (if its enough pressure for you)
My father in law has gotten 3 cheap units over the last 7 years (karcher, aldi and now gerni) and over that time, could have just spent more on a good gerni and be done with it.
I would stay away from petrol as it just sits there idling while not in use. And its not exactly quite. My preference though.

  • I bought the small Gerni model. It gets the job done but is slow going as it doesn't have the pressure and volume of a larger model. If you're going to use it a lot get a bigger model otherwise you'll be at it all day.

Which user Pina above actually seems to enjoy.

  • What's the best pressure washer with 1/4" quick connector? I'm asking primarily to wash a car.
I modified my snow foam cannon with 1.1 mm orifice and looking to use same which has a 1/4" quick connector.
