  • I found these don't work. Can anyone confirm any success with these that isn't a fake amazon review?

    • +2

      Hello

Amazon is very strict about reviews and I can assure you ours are real.
We also have 300+ positive feedback on eBay and not a single negative.
      That's impossible to fake.

Nasal strips work well for Nasal Congestion and milder type snoring not sleep apnea.
I use them every night and my wife is much happier than when I don't wear them..

You can also find out more information on our website

      www.sleepquiet.com.au

      Hope this helps
      Thanks
      Marc

      • Last time I was in a chemist, I saw anti-snoring rings as well. Same claims. I'm sure someone will part with their money for this.

    • Maybe try some duct tape. Just as effective and half the price! ;) Either that or use the tape on your mouth. Seriously. This will do more to help your breathing. If your nose is blocked. Use a nasal spray.

    • In answer to whether they work?

I'm biased of course but what I can say is for a pretty small price, it is a natural affordable pain-free solution that has helped a lot of people and their loved ones sleep and breathe a bit better

We get well over 25% of customers to return to us so I feel that says something

A scientific study comparing different anti-snoring products show that “EXTERNAL NASAL STRIPS” and dilator clips effectively relieve obstruction of the internal nasal valve and may be an alternative to surgical intervention in some patients" (Source JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery, 2016;)

You can take a look at the detail I have posted as a Blog to our website. Link below….
There is a link to the study there near the bottom

      https://sleepquiet.com.au/blogs/news

      • Link to a link to maybe another link to a page that you can't read without an account unless I'm missing something. Can you provide a direct link to the actual study?

I get that these things are cheap with not much to lose except money, but these claims are a bit whiffy. (Pun intended) Here's another report (with a misleading headline) about the same study that says this

"Although some nasal dilators are marketed as noninvasive alternative to surgery for use in patients with obstructive sleep apnea and nasal anatomic abnormalities, such as septal deviation, turbinate hypertrophy, and nasal valve compromise, these devices to not currently have the ability to provide long-term patency to individuals with the aforementioned conditions or be seen as truly an alternative option for these conditions,” they wrote. Thus, surgery is still a superior treatment option for nasal airway obstruction.”

It also says "Researchers found limited evidence"

        https://www.healio.com/news/aesthetics/20160701/review-finds…

In other words, there's bugger all evidence they help and they probably do jack. And thinking that you can use these instead of proper treatment (if you have an actual issue) is misleading. I'll be happy to stand corrected if I can look at the actual study.

If you have snoring/sleep problems, go see a sleep specialist and have a sleep study.

I have no medical training, just someone who has been through nasal surgery, has severe sleep apnoea and tried most of the bs cures and dislike people being mislead. Havent read the reviews, but if theyre real I would imagine placebo is a big part of the apparent improvements. Like I say, happy to stand corrected.

        • Hello Fredorishi
          Thanks for your detailed post.
I'm really sorry you have such serious snoring issues. Mine is mild and that's bad enough.
My wife and I started this business as I was using Nasal Strips to stop snoring with good effect (according to my wife)
We were paying $1+ per strip and thought why not do it ourselves and we offer strips from 15-17c a strip (in bulk) which is saving regular users a lot of money.

It's been great and we honestly get heaps of good feedback often unprompted.

In the last Oz Bargain post we did in January we got a comment that just blew us away. I'm not going to repost it as people will assume we set it up but it was just a happy customer who is sleeping better and loves our service…

Regarding the Jama Study yes that link now requires Account access for me as well (frustrating) but the crux of their findings are shown in the blog

There are different levels and types of snoring and sleep apnoea will not be fixed with Nasal strips (as we point out in our legal disclaimer under the Amazon ad)

"SleepQuiet Nasal Strips are not for the treatment of sleep apnoea. If you think that your snoring may be a symptom of sleep apnoea you should consult your doctor"

However, most snorers suffer from the nasal congestion type of snoring and not the more severe sleep apnoea type

Search I have undertaken suggested nasal strips do help nasal congestion type of snoring and speaking personally they help me. Repeat Sales and reviews back this up.

I hope this helps explain our side of the story and good luck with your snoring.

          • @SleepQuiet: So no actual evidence to share? Cool. Thats what I expected. Thats really all you had to say.
I mean, I Dont have a huge issue with your product. There are worse claims about worse products out there. Wouldn't have commented further except you tried to claim you had scientific evidence to back up its effectiveness. Anecdotes aren't evidence. Reviews aren't evidence. You also might want to have a read up on want causes snoring. Just a hint. A blocked nose doesn't really feature that highly. Here's one article to start you off.

            https://www.resmed.com.au/snoring/what-causes-snoring

You're pretty good with your sales pitch though, I'll give you that. Nice try.

  • OP - does this work with the Bio-Charger ?

    • +1

mmm I just had to Google Bio-Charger

I'm sure it won't hurt to use Nasal Strips at the same time but have to be honest I had not heard of Bio-Charger before you mentioned it

You can only try I guess?

      Good Luck
