Is it worth buying at this price yet? How does this compare to Odyssey

    • Way better than Odyssey. There's just so much more effort put into this game.

I bought on release and I don't regret it for an instant. In fact, I preordered the DLC after finishing the main story. Probably the best game I've played in 2020.

      • I prefer Odyssey. But this game is nice enough. Killing Britons never gets old.

  • Also remember that Ubisoft+ exists for $20/month which gets you access to basically every Ubisoft game available on PC. Decent option if don't want to pay full price and can get through games pretty quickly (Valhalla is notoriously long though).

    • $20 a month ? Geez that's expensive. How many games do they have ? Compared to EA Ubisoft is a rip-off.

I just use it come and go when a new Ubi game comes out, smash it out and finish it within the month and save $50-70. Makes heaps more sense that way. I even finished Valhalla within the same paying month Watch Dogs Legion came out (lots of crunch), but I only paid $20 for both games so a bit of crunch didn't hurt.

      • $20 a month ? Geez that's expensive. How many games do they have ?

Over 100 according to their marketing site. I wouldn't recommend subscribing for more than a month or two (may as well just buy the games at that point) but it's a great deal for playing their new games for $20 at launch.

Like the other guy who commented I played all of Watch Dogs Legion and enough of AC Valhalla to know that I never wanted to touch it again which saved me over $120.

Compared to EA Ubisoft is a rip-off.

It's literally the same price and feature set as EA Play Pro… and Ubisoft games regularly go on big sales shortly after launch. Not really sure what you're complaining about TBH.

        • Mate I am not complaining I just think the price is expensive. I don't have time to play games and finished it within a month. I see your point paying for a month and complete the game within that month but for me I probably can only spend about 3-4 hours a week playing games. So an Assassin's Creed game would probably take me 6 months to finished.

  • How do you get UPlay Coins?

    • Play games you already own, complete challenges.

  • Anyone want to swap a 20% off voucher for any/all the games from the January humble choice bundle bar Ancestors The Humankind odyssey? I only wanted that one game

  • I'd forgot to redeem the free copy I had for the standard edition as part of the Samsung SSD promotion late last year. No idea how that slipped past.

PSA: Code expires end of March for anyone else who hasn't done so.

  • Valhalla for $54? Yeah I'll bite.
