Cheapest I've seen for some time. Normally these would be $400.

The 980 Pro takes a step backwards and uses TLC like Samsung's EVO/EVO Plus series, while the 970 PRO stays true to the "PRO" moniker like the 960 PRO before it and uses MLC.
980's got lower endurance.
3-bit MLC = TLC
i highly doubt you will wear out an MLC before it gets replaced naturally. At least under regular use.
I have some 840 and 850 EVOs and after many years there's still plenty of life in them.
Not sure why you'd get that when you could save $100 and get the 970 Evo Plus for $209 https://www.umart.com.au/Samsung-1TB-970-EVO-Plus-M-2-NVMe-S…
MLC (as opposed to TLC) and higher TBW rating, although none of these affect the average user.
980pros are also TLC
This post is for 970 Pro.
@Mistredo: Crap sorry was reading the comments above and was thinking of the other 980pro deal.

980 Pro is MLC according to the specificationStorage Memory
Samsung V-NAND 3-bit MLC@Garcia: 3-bit MLC is alias for TLC, True MLC is 2-bit.
@Mistredo: Yeah calling TLC 3-bit MLC is a bit bull, might as well call QLC 4-bit MLC.

Not bad but I'd prefer the cheaper and newer 980 Pro in 2021.
Isn't a 980 pro cheaper right now?
