FYI:

Carl's Jr is not a burger clone, timeline: 1940 McDonald's, 1941 Carl’s Jr. then way later, 1953 Burger King (our HJ’s).
Carl's Jr burgers are 'chargrilled', unlike HJ's 'flamegrilled'.
The burgers are BETTER at Carl's. Try the Angus burger range and taste for yourself.
I do NOT work or am associated in anyway to Carl's Jr. other than being a fan.

What's with the footnote on "Carl's Jr is not a burger clone" with each Carl's Jr deal posted?

    • 'Not a Burger King clone' perhaps? Sure, maybe. But I do not think they do enough of anything particularly special, to differentiate themselves from the local competition.

      • Agree, but their burgs are definitely better than HJ's. Won't matter soon enough once Five Guys is in Aus. Their burgers will beat any burger chain we currently have, hands down!

  • OK these are pretty good

Let the tendies hit the floor

  • Why are the chicken nuggets shaped like stars?

  • Hand breaded chicken lips and anuses Lol. Marketing guys crack me up.

    • Chickens have lips?

    • Unsurprisingly, it's a whole breaded chicken tenderloin. See:
      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_fingers

The one near me, the staff aren't trained well, since all tenders I had didn't have the tendon removed.

They are quite good otherwise, but no Raising Cane's

Excellent deal at $5, $11 or whatever normal price is, not so much

  • think it’s free refills that set carl’s apart from HJ …. my local HJ used to have free refills a few years ago but not anymore, now drink machine is behind counter ….love the refills at carl’s ……..

    • Agree, free refills or bust

In the States almost everywhere has free refills. Makes it great value for road trips when you buy their biggest size drink (feels like about 30L, and almost always $1) and refill for the car. Sugar free, of course, to counter the millions of calories in everything else you eat over there! Sigh…I miss the States….

You're going to love Five Guys when it becomes a thing here.

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmHddDq26zk

Mix and match dozens of different types and flavours as much as you like.

        • I've had Five Guys a few times and wasn't a huge fan. As @wouldyou said above though, maybe it will be better when it comes here, with Australia's awesome produce. :)

          • @ChocStrawberries: Only had them in the UK and they were fantastic. Down'n'out a.k.a Nameless here comes close to the smash burger style but not the rest of the experience.

  • FYI if they don't let you order 2x 5 pieces, you can add 3 more pieces for $3

Call it following rules or just plain incompetence…. just giving everyone a heads up.
