Like last month
I had that happen to me when I did a shake n win promo then took a little while (an hr or so) to go pickup. I guess the promo “expired” in that time and it couldn’t process payment.

Mine was a jacks app offer that couldn't go through. Happened a few times last month. And they wouldnt honor the deal when i tried to order at register. I think i just paid more but the other 2 times just went kfc

Not working for me, I do all the steps but it doesn't apply discount to jack apps offers.
Yet when start and try again it tells me there is a discount applied already. That's after deleting the jack apps from previous try.Works on bundles etc !

Last night tried the 20% for jack app deals wouldnt work. It work on only full price test
I couldn't get it to work today either (was just going to get Jack's deal $2 coffee), but I do recall on Android (I have Pixel 6a) it's a little cumbersome the steps weren't exactly as described in OP's link.
Can't exactly remember how it worked for me the last time, will try again tomorrow!
You could potentially use the hack to continually get 20% off the regular menu items during the promotion. That’s what I was doing last time.
Yesterday the $5 menu item showed $4 at checkout for me. I decided to have that for lunch today and it's not working anymore.
