Was at Bunnings this morning and saw that they had these batteries on special.

Comes with 10 energizer max aa's and 2 energizer advance aa's

$0.545 a cell.

Doubt its at any other bunnings but you could try your luck/

Just bought a pack of 30 of a crappy brand for less than $10 from Bunnings.
Should have used the money for energizer brand.
And sorry for bored you with my life story.

I'm guessing you're referring to Varta batts, which is what I buy from Bunnings. Hardly 'crappy' - Germany's equivalent of Eveready if you want a comparison, and a company with origins going back more than a hundred years.

Better quality metal on the terminals, never had one leak, and in my experience last considerably longer in use than the current Energizers (which incidentally were also trounced in a recent Choice mag test by Aldi batts - and are absolutely thrashed on a price per cell basis by both)
