Just be aware that this store does not give you any AU warranty and make sure you pay via paypal to get the 180 days protection.
I have learned this in a hard way as my Poco X3 is bricked after 3 months.
    Feel like wasted 300 bucks.

    • they dont give you 12 months warranty?

And how do you brick Poco X3 in three months?

      • No. They don't give me 12 months warranty.
Normal usage and a potential OTA bricked the phone.
It is a long-running problem. You can get lots of hits if you Google "system has been destroyed"+ Xiaomi.

        • Did you try installing Custom ROM heh???

          • @[Deactivated]: No, I didn't.
And I cannot even fix it by flashing ROM now.
It's a big challenge/dead lock with Mi phones.
You need to unlock the phone BEFORE it is bricked for ROM flashing.
Once it is bricked, you will not be able to flash in any ROM unless you have an authorised account from Xiaomi.
And only the authorised repair shop has such an account and the Mi store has confirmed that they do not have any authorised repair shop here in AU.

            • @newsanzang: LOL i mean Xiaomi (grudgingly) gives you access to account to unlock your phone.

But if you try to install custom rom and thereby bricking your phone, then you void the warranty!!!

              • @[Deactivated]: That's right. So it is not user friendly at all.
And in my case, I didn't even unlock the phone…or tried doing anything naughty…

                • @newsanzang: OK so i take your word for it, Xiaomi store only gives you a 3 month warranty (AliExpress)

Wont spend 1k on them then, thanks

@[Deactivated]: spending that much with Ali is asking for trouble…

What a time, S21 is cheaper than Mi 11.

    • +1

Out of stock and when you click the link, the cheapest is $1249.
I guess the seller only have limited amount xD
Also the cheapest $990 S21 have only 64MP camera, 25W fast charging/15W wireless charging vs 108MP, 55W fast charging/50W wireless charging on Xiaomi Mi 11.
S21 still more expensive if you compare the similar spec to Xiaomi Mi 11.
Although US$761 is quite expensive, wait 6-12 months it will go down between $599~$700

      • +2

Won't even need that long. 2 months will see at least USD$100 less than this price and even more so if the Pro is released.

Still a very compelling value at this price if you compare say the S20FE 5G, or even the OnePlus 8T if you can find the KB2003 version for B28. The Snapdragon 888 is a beast of a chip.

Hilarious that the OnePlus 9 Pro got leaked a few hours before the Xiaomi launch too.

        • SD888 is too hot?

          • @[Deactivated]: Not seen any complaints about heat in the 888 personally, not saying there aren't any.

I paid $700 USD shipped for the Chinese version + charger. This is a good price for the global version.

No n40 band for optus 5g

    • The Pro version - if ever released - may have it. Otherwise you treat it as a 4G phone and it's still decent value.

Xiaomi is banned by the US, so dont count on it LOL

        • By Trump in his last days, so you may count Biden on it.

          I demand a recount!

This counting on it is rigged!

the one over 1k will incur $300 custom charges?

  • Like the look of this device. Some folks need VOLTE, any news on this?

    • I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be supported.

      • Cheers. Hope you're enjoying your crypto gains! (I also go by:Henry_Leeson in other places) I may spend some profits on a new phone soon

        • +1

That's what paid for my Mi 11 :)

It's so sad though when you pay for express shipping, it goes from China to Sydney in 3 days flat and then gets handed off to Aramex/Fastway who claim it currently takes 10-12 days to get to Perth… sigh

          Hope you're winning

  • Pro and Ultra coming soon. Obviously will cost more….
