ONLINE ORDER Delivery charge - Sydney Metro $10.00, Outside Sydney Metro $20.00.

Hammer drill is via redemption - https://www.guaranteedtough.com.au/ Yes, VEK Tools make no mention of it on site, but I have confirmed it valid.

Although there is currently no stock of the Drill, 54V 6Ah battery is an option too - https://i.imgur.com/d4mBtK0.png
Battery is worth $179

Was considering this or the new Ego 18"/45cm ($750), both are overkill for my needs, but hey…. Extra hammer drill is nice, plus I was able to stumble on a Bunnings with these kits still in stock, so got it 10% price beat for $540, so a no brainer. Anyone reading this, Minchinbury NSW has at least one kit still in stock, and they had 3 skins at $319 when I was there.

  • its a bit misleading in that site to call it a 54V 9Ah battery. It’s a 18V 9Ah battery = 54V 3Ah battery.

    • Yeah, it's a bit odd. DeWalt list it as 18/54V 3Ah/9Ah battery which in itself could be misinterpreted to be 18V 3Ah & 54V 9Ah if people have no idea. In general it seems everyone lists it as 54V 9Ah as they are the two references that stick out.

I copy pasted this info from yet another site simply for formatting and had it originally as 6Ah, so fixed it now.

    • From what I understand, the batteries are 18V by default but built in is a DC-DC converter to boost it to 54V if the unit supports it. So technically there’s nothing wrong with what they’re claiming.

      • +1

I'm pretty sure its just changing the connection of the batteries from Parallel to Series to change from 18V to 36V and 54V. It is wrong when you claim 54V 9Ah, because that would imply 486Wh when in fact its only 162Wh.

  • +1

Anyone wanting the baby chainsaw 18v 30cm bar DCM565 Northmead bunnings NSW had one (1) reduced to $210 clearance.

    • Yeah I picked one up in castle hill and talked a guy into reducing the dcm565 to $170. I'm waiting for a battery deal now to power it. Lol

  • Bought this and returned the unit. It is a POS and the chain is not stocked by major chains or supported widely.

I spent the extra to go with a German made petrol competitor and love it so much that it has cause some serious argument from me not allowed to use it without the supervision of the wife as I love trimming the heck out of the trees now where I can.

    • Can I ask which one you went with? I'm in the market, and need to cut some firewood ahead of the winter. Thanks

  • It is a POS

What specifically makes it a POS? That is the opposite of every review I saw, and I watched waaaay too many of them.
The chain does seem an off combination, with that pitch and gauge, but I do know there are several Stihl models that also use this combo.
