Wera looks fancier… And no useless imperial. :)

    • I have a set of the Wera multicolour, yes the do look very nice, but they sheath can get in the way if you are trying to get a spot with not much room, like a hole that is not much bigger than the fastener.

I think these are the left handed variety……no deal!

  • What do you use imperial size Allen keys on?

    • Imperial allen head bolts?

Can buy here for $32.37 with free shipping with prime membership (no minimum spend): https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00012Y38W/ref=ox_sc_ac…

    • Actually you can buy something else to get free delivery than cancel it.

  • Where can we use imperial ? I haven't used them since …. I don't remember using them even once.

    • I have quite a few items that have imperial hex screws, specifically products made in the US.

  • There are excellent quality.

This thing is excellent! Lucky read some comment from last deal to get to ball head instead of the regular version. The ball head is very useful and much better than the non ball version.

    • Glad the advice was useful. Good quality tools make jobs so much easier, may they last you many years.

  • If your luck check out Bunnings, they have some of the old sku for sale for $18.

  • Looks good quality. Anyone used them?

    • +1

Yes I have the metric one only. Very good quality and they haven't worn out in the past 3 years. I have lost a few though so thinking of getting this.

      • Thanks for sharing. Think I'd get one too. Can't they just do free delivery for prime member? The $49 bar is a bit annoying…

        • You can get the other one that's $32. Mind you I got mine for $45 and that was only the metric set.

          • @bogak: Thanks for the reply. I managed to get something else from Amazon US to be eligible for the $49 free delivery.

    • I have four sets I think, great quality.

  • +1

I have both of these sets (imperial + metric). Excellent quality, you’d be surprised how many times I’ve had to pull out the imperial set… although guess it depends how often you’re in the shed doing s***.

    Bondhus Balldriver

RIP to the many good men who have died trying to execute that particular maneuver!

  • How does the quality of these compare to Wera?

    • +2

Quality wise these compare to the Wera only in the strength of the material.
However Wera tops most Hex keys with their Hex-Plus proprietary shaped heads. Doesnt strip hex heads and warp them.

When you factor in the price. Wera is almost double.

      • Moreso when you factor in Bondhus also comes with an imperial set, and even more again if you go with the coloured variant of the Wera.

        • +1

I posted a deal of the coloured stainless version a while ago. It was a treat at $46.40 via Amazon.
You get what you pay for. I've had more expenseive L keys (PBswiss) and hands down, Wera have been the leader when it comes to Hex L keys.

Will out last you. if you dont lose or have them stolen :)

          • @pegasusx: I'll have to keep an eye out then, ~$45 for the coloured set is a steal.
