Very good reversing camera, fyi it should work with most head units. I have mine attached to a Alpine unit and works flawlessly.

    • I quite like them, have 2 on the back of the bus for the generic 2x android head units. Good quality image.

      • Is the "No parking lines" an issue?

        • For me, not at all. It's a 6m bus, so one is mounted up high; don't use lines on that one (have the overlay set to off on the headset). The headset i am using for the centre set one also provides lines (its a cheap android one).

got a pioneer reverse cam, its better than all of the factory ones ive seen in other peoples cars

  • What cables/connections do these have?

  • For those that have this, do you like how they look aesthetically once installed?

  • I am not an expert on this field but according the specs this camera has 1/4" CMOS sensor.

1/3" sensor has 17mm2 image where 1/4" produces 8mm2 image. According to the internet, bigger sensor has better low light performance potentially. Sensor size is not the only element to make full decision on the low light performance but consider it is a start point. Personally, I always focus on the night time performance of the reverse cameras as some of them I had were terrible.

Not sure if there is any out there but Sony has IMX458 1/3" CMOS sensor which is really good.

  • I’ve had one of these with my pioneer head unit for about 3 years and I find it works quite well and has good night time visibility.

  • I use a $14 camera from Aliexpress, low light/frame rate is perfectly fine. Better yet you can probably find one that integrates with your car like factory OEM style.
