HOW TO USE

When stuck, STOP! Don't keep spinning the tires- it won't work.

Step 1: Use a shovel to get underneath the tires. Dig a track in front of ALL tires to make a roll-out path. The goal is to reduce resistance so you can keep your momentum.

Step 2: Reduce tire pressure to a minimum amount you are comfortable with. X-Bull recommends carrying an air compressor, it's essential when off-road or in remote areas.

    Excellent tracks for the coin.

Yep what they said. Have the same generic ones (Rockarmor) and they've given us good service at Ngkala Rocks bypass.

  • Normal price?

    • Yeah I think they are around the normal price

  • Cheers! Needed a cheap set for those just in case times

  • How do these differ to the ones that are $68 (+ delivery if you don't have prime) on Amazon (other than length and weight)?

  • Anyone know if the carry bag is suitable for being strapped to roof rack in the elements all the time or only for inside the vehicle

    • Wouldn't last long outside in Sun / weather. Ok nylon bag, not heavy duty zips. I strap to roof for trips, not all the time outside.

  • How do these compare to Maxtrax, which are around $300 and one of the best?

I have a set of the X-Bull's from another deal. I haven't had to use them yet but I'm very confident they will do the job. One thing I have noticed is they don't stack as neatly together as the Maxtrax. You can stack four Maxtrax together so they are a nice low profile on your cage/racks etc. These don't really sit so well on top of each other and are a bit bulky. Still for the price I have no regrets and you get the bag anyway in this deal.

      • Cheers for that. Yeah they're a great price for sure.

As guys before said, they don't stack well, two are prob size of 4 stacks maxtrax, maybe even higher. As for durability I can vouch, I have used them to fill holes / rock steps, have weight of car on them bending and they don't fray and bounce back to shape. Can't vouch long term, but few trips with full weight of car bending them.

    • The benefit to the Maxtrax is they stack lower and there's a lot more mounting options available for them for roof racks, spare wheels, sides of camper trailers etc.

I have both Maxtrax and XBull, and in a way regret buying the Maxtrax because when i use them it's most likely on someone else plus when i leave the vehicle in the bush to go on walks, climbs etc im always worried about someone swiping them.

I bought some X-Bulls Mk3 just before Christmas but fortunately haven't had to use them yet.
