do children really have an aversion to learning? or even the word learning?
this seems stupid
Yes and yes.
what or who made them that way then?
If I could answer that, I would be very wealthy.
I only learnt this during a recent parenting webinar but the average time a child will maintain focus is roughly;
2 years old: four to six minutes
4 years old: eight to 12 minutes
6 years old: 12 to 18 minutes
So activity books like these for the young kids could help keep them interested in learning. 2 of my kids are 6 and 4 and they love reading these books so they might learn a few things and get some enjoyment out of it.
Do Not Buy This Book. :P
Really depends on what they've been exposed to. If told to learn, there's not much of an incentive. Not much different to being told to work on a chain gang. Very different result if offered as a challenge and shown there are tangible benefits. I haven't read this book but imagine they would be doing something similar.
But isn't learning an innate evolutionary drive all children would have? Wouldn't that have to be taken away from them?
Thanks. Just what I needed
